Well, I assume that if a hypersonic missile is caught on the radar, the computer systems would be able to calculate the coordinates for an impact, so I think we'd still need frigates and AAW. The only question is whether we have enough AAW/SAM to shoot it down.

No doubt if it gets past the AAW then we won't be able to catch up, but as long as it hasn't passed the AAW there is still a chance.

There are rumours that MILDEN will have a unique AIP propulsion.70 meters and almost 3000 tons. I hope they will accelerate this project .Armed with heavy Turkish torpedoes and capsule launched Turkish missiles and SOM.
If not, we have to do all to become independent from German technology. Better work with Japan and Sweden.

Russia tested Zircon hyperspeed missiles ( Mach 6+),
they can't be stopped with existing weapons.

Turkey should invest in IDEALAB and thats where the Turkish sun will come up...
There is huge market in ASEAN region..

Both.

I know it'll sound like a cliche answer but they each serve a different essential purpose. Both submarines and frigates are important components of a larger machinery called the Navy.

Submarines, logistics ships, frigates, corvettes, mine warfare ships, aphibic ships, fuel ships, hospital ships, school ships, FACs, LPDs, patrol boats, aircraft carriers, naval aviation, naval intelligence, naval satellites, sonar arrays... Every part serves a specific purpose. Every part is necessary and as important as the others.

We should build submarines that are specifically made to destroy aircraft carriers and destroyers.

Yes, but we need Hyperspeed missiles comparable to Brahmos or Zirkon.
With current technology they are almost unstopable.
Most of you will see it. We had a confirmed target date 2023- but I believe cause of extreme fast technical developments our military and Gov. revised some projects and target date will be delayed estimated 10 years.

Does Turkey has any project like Zirkon with scramjet engine?
I saw somewhere that they tested something like that

You almost never fire a single missile at a large ship with counter-measures. You launch a "salvo" of missiles --sometimes from multiple ships at once-- always assuming that a good %80 of them to be eliminated by systems like ECM, ESSM, RAM, CIWS, etc.

Exact, but never forget. We have no foreign maritime bases. Even small Dutch have islands in the Caribbean.
If you look on the map, the only real maritime global players are the USA and the UK. Atlantic and Pacific island bases. Diego Garcia, Falklands .....

Brother, yes there are RAMJET projects.
But I would appreciate if you could post some about scramjets which is afaik an other league, the highest league.

We had no comparable situations in the last 20 years.
The last Naval War was at Falklands and only some Exocets destroyed 2 UK frigates, 2 destroyers, 1 LST and a Container Ship.
The Naval losses of Argentine were only Cruiser Belgrano ( torpedo hit by nuclear sub Conqueror) and an abandoned submarine Santa Fe.

USA would not let Turkey become a major naval power of the world.

That’s why you see even normal Turkish naval projects are lagging behind so far with deployment keep getting pushed further and further

major naval power

Ther are only 2 dominating Naval Powers, Brits and the USA. Not only cause of vessels but enough foreign bases and allies ( ANGLOSAXON axis). -I don't take nuclear naval weapons into consideration-.

Turkey needs only to show deterrence and flag in Mediterannean, Black Sea Red Sea and Gulf ( parts of Indian Ocean)
