Should Pakistan upgrade T-80UD to T-80BVM?

T-80BVM is latest T-80 version. Performs quite well in Ukraine invasion. Has latest thermal imaging sight, latest ERA, automatic gun laying, more powerful engine. Roughly on par with M1A1.

Every weapon systems and the human have their significant roles.

Drones are susceptible to many dangers like enemy aircrafts, air defense guns, and if at low altitude they can be targeted by assault guns. Comms jamming is another suitable way to render them useless. They cannot capture and hold a piece of land like armor and infantry respectively. They cannot clear buildings and rooms as efficiently as an infantry soldier. They have to re-armed on ground after dispensing their small pay load. They have mobility but lack armor to withstand multiple shots. Drones have to be called back after every operation while MBTs can stay in enemy territory under infantry and AD protection to continue advance. MBTs carry a lot of ammo and fuel so re-arming and re-fueling may take a while.

Due to drones mobility, they are excellent recon and surveillance systems as eyes and ears for ground forces commanders. Their payload is small so they are used best to target high value enemy assets. They are good for quick ambushes on enemy armored columns and supply convoys by taking out trucks and troop carriers thus cutting off reinforcements rushing towards front lines. In a way if you look, drones can also take out enemy artillery batteries behind forward edge of battlefield but that doesn't mean that counter-battery tactics of own artillery have gone useless since drones have come into play. Artillery still has its own place through long range barrage and multiple missile salvos.

All said and done, combining all assets for Ops - Infantry, MBTs, Artillery and UAVs - give an edge by complimenting each other.
