The T-14 is one of just three fourth generation battle tanks in service today, alongside the South Korean K2 Black Panther and Japanese Type 10. The 2 others are also far more expensive.

The unit price is only 4 million USD. Order 300-500 armata tanks in total. Should Pakistan consider it? It would be superior to any Indian tank including T-90.

Its not always about the unit cost bro... it might be 4 million a piece but you also have to keep in mind training, maintenance and operational cost... then there is experience issue as far as I know Pakistan hasn't had proper experience of Advanced Russian tanks... so its upto the people in planning division to decide if it is going to be a good choice or not..

I agree that one must include training, maintenance and operational cost. But you would still Get a lot for that money as its «cheap» compared to western MBTS. Regarding experience we do operate T-80UD. Though not same league as Armata.

Yes the T-14 is ready for export. I dont see any reason why they would not sell it to us. If Pakistan is willing to buy Russia would sell 100%.

Bro its too early to assume that Russian will sell T-14 to Pakistan, we just started to develop warm relation to Russia its takes time to develop a trust with them, few years ago Pakistan ask Russia to sell Su-35 to us but Russian denied, it will takes time to purchase any big ticket items from Russia, and last where is the $$$ to purchase T-14 in large numbers???

Best to stick with a tank we can make ourselves. With an export product from Russia, India can learn the weaknesses. With a domestic product, we can tailor it to our own needs.

BTW, between China and Turkey we have the best two major tank building industries to sell us the means and the know how to build the tank that works for us.

Besides, if want something Russian, we have a good relationship with the Ukrainians. The Ukrainians were not only the bread basket of the Soviet Union, but also half the industrial capacity of the Soviet war machine. Which is why we buy Tank engines and transmissions from there; reliable and affordable. in fact the Ukrainian Malyshev factory specialized in engine and transmission production for the soviet tank industry. It was actually the Pakistani deal in the mid ‘90s to that factory that brought it back, so the relationship is nearly 30 years old.

A lot of the Armour technology developed for the Armata was already developed during Soviet times. Some of which may have been known to the Ukrainian, in order for them to develop the engines and transmissions.

All this is to say, between the three foreign suppliers and a Pakistani desire, Pakistan can make what it needs at HIT.

I doubt it is any good. I am not confident in Russian Tanks. go for Altay tanks

No. It’s unproven, the enemy can also buy it, the VT4 in the PA is superior to anything the Indian army fields.
If anything new is needed a joint project with Turkey or China is fine and they are strategic allies. Russia isn’t.

i dont know much about tanks. but i read somewhere that Pakistan always wants its tanks to be light-ish because of the terrain on our eastern border, which is why we dont buy russian tanks. i could be wrong though.

Increase the number of VT4 to 1000 is a much better and financial solution than buying Armata along with VT 4 Pakistan should consider Norinco ZBD-4A and CR-500 drones
