Plus it's still built in Indonesia, so a decent price too should the PAF opt for additional aircraft. I'm surprised the PN and PA didn't standardize on the platform, the PN could've used it for the MPA role.

We desperately need to standardise platforms. Given the resource constraints we face I'm surprised this isn't a priority for all three arms! Cn 235/9 could have easily have served all three arms.

A small transport plane not sufficient for actual need of a military grade airlift
An ok plane for transport of food and water

The Engine design on side make it a choice as a recon plane as passenger windows are blocked by the two oversize engines

Some recon work possible from Pilot's vintage point

Only real usage is just Patrol duties around the coastal areas
May be a Coast guard rescue plane or search & rescue like unit
