Yes, but he won't. MQM leadership also cannot ignore Altaf Hussain since the armed wing of MQM only follows Altaf Hussain. I'm pretty sure many MQM leaders would like to see MQM progress and be free from idiocy of Mr Altaf Hussain.

Well Altaf Hussain is usually very ill not just mentally but also physically, he should step aside and let the Rabitta Committee elect a leader who is in Pakistan not in UK. Altaf Hussain would always remain the idealogical father of MQM whether dead or alive.
