Shots Fired At US Army Camp
Jahra Police Arrest Two Brothers
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: The Jahra police have arrested two brothers for allegedly shooting randomly at a US Army camp on Al-Salmi Road, reports Al-Rai daily.
During interrogation they said they were playing a game and were not aware the camp was in the vicinity.
The daily quoting security sources said when the guards called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior, a police force was dispatched to the area.
The daily added when police reached the spot they failed to find the suspects. However, the main suspect was taken into custody from his home based on information provided by the guards manning the gates of the camp.
When the suspect was taken to the Taima Police Station, he denied the accusation. When asked about the car, he added, it belongs to his brother.
When police asked the suspect to contact his brother and call him at a certain place, he refused to oblige but later bowed to pressure and called his sibling. Police then set a trap for him and took him also into custody. In the car police found the gun with which the shots were fired.
Police have confiscated the unlicensed gun and referred the suspects to the concerned authorities.
A case of possessing unlicensed gun has been registered against the brothers.
