For last many days many trolls were posting about poverty, India not shining, poor people in India etc. etc.
So I just want to educate these people who are concern or having stomach ache about poverty and poor in India.
There is hug shortage of labors in India and that is not related to any particular region but whole of India (North, East, West or South).
Following are the some links from media to prove the point:
MNREGS has led to labour shortage, higher wages
In other words, in just three years, the programme has come a long way. Indeed, while there are no all-India figures, there are enough reports of a shortage of labour for agriculture in several key states in the harvesting season.
This, in turn, has led to wage rates in the country going up. In other words, what various minimum-wage statutes and the large bureaucracy that mans them haven't been able to achieve, the MNREGS has achieved in a relatively short period of time.
The success of the scheme, however, is also its main weakness. What was started as a social security scheme to provide employment in times of need has now morphed into a full-fledged employment programme that is in danger of supplanting the labour market it was meant to supplement.

Shortage of labour affecting Surat diamond industry profits
"The labour that came into the cutting and polishing jobs of the Surat diamond industry 20-25 years ago, that generation is moving towards retirement. And the new generation that should come in this industry doesn't have much interest in the cutting and polishing," said Ajoy Bhattacharya, the Southern Chamber of Gujarat and Commerce
Industry president.
"The kids of these people, have completed their studies with graduation and post graduation or MBA and they want to go for some white-collar job and they don't want to come into cutting and polishing. So, where would you get new labour? When these huge numbers of people will retire then where would you get the new labour?" he added.

Labour shortage hits jute mills in West Bengal
After sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh, its now the turn of jute mills in West Bengal to reel under shortage of labour. This has forced many jute mills to reduce their production hours and go for production cuts.
The 52 working jute mills in West Bengal employ around 400,000 workers and the labour shortfall is about 30 per cent.
The workers are more interested in getting engaged in different government schemes like the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and other alternative sources of income like employment in real estate and security services. Workers do not even bother losing jobs if a mill closes down. Some mills in Hooghly are closed for the past four months and the workers are not bothered as they have found alternative jobs locally, said an industry source.
Though jute mills are considered the highest daily wage payers in the textile sector, they are increasingly finding it difficult to employ a new person or retain an old hand. A newcomer gets a daily wage of Rs 227, while an experienced worker earns Rs 404.

NREGA fuels labour shortage in Punjab
Farmers are in a fix over the massive labour shortage ahead of the paddy sowing and transplantation season. They are finding it difficult to find labourers not only to work in their fields, but also as domestic help.
But this has proved to be a boon for migrant labourers, as the farmers are trying their level best to guard their workforce that mainly come from UP and Bihar. Besides offering more money, they are ready to cater to all their basic needs, including rooms to stay. Farmers feel that the main reason behind such paucity is the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) that has helped many labourers find work closer to their villages.
