Karachiites are avid shoppers, and, as such, Karachi boasts an incredible diversity in terms of shopping, accommodating anyone’s preferences and budget. Products that shoppers can buy in Karachi come from a vast variety of sources, from one of the many local cottage industries to authentic brand wear by renowned international designers. The city has many modern, high-end shopping malls such as Park Towers, The Forum and Dolmen Mall, in addition to local mid-range bazaars and a gamut of streetside vendors. In places such as Park Towers and Dolmen Mall, all famous stores such as Khaadi, Amir Adnan, Sputnik Footwear and English Boot House, all have a presence.

Such malls would increase as Pakistani middle class turns towards becoming an increasingly consumer society. Malls offer convenience as opposed to the traditional shopping areas as most of the shops are set up in a mall in close proximity in a climate controlled environment enhancing the shopping experience.

I wish they could hide malls where we can't see them, or disguise them as something else, or situate them in the middle of garbage landfills. A consumer society is one which has given up hope in humanity.

There are many huge ones that are under construction and are going to get launched very soon in coming years.

Too expensive, on average, one can buy 2-3 pairs of better quality shoes in the same price and don't get me started on the cloth prices

Why? Some of them, the cheaper ones, are pretty good. And shopping at Metro and Makro in the summer is so.... cold

A mix but we have mostly local ones since Pakistan makes some of the best cloth, shoes and belts in the World.
