Argentina's inflation at 51% :pop:

Soon we will beat Argentina!! Our Kaptan is best at breaking records. 😎
Well we do import DAP, insecticides, prices of which have increased by 100 % internationally.

Fuel prices also contribute.

Apart from that vegetable prices has been quite stable recently ( in fact on the lower side).

3kg potato for 100 rupees.
4kg tomotoes for 100 rupees.
2 1/2 kg onions for 100 rupees.
Chicken prices are like 210 Rs / kg live bird.
Carrots 5kg for 100 rupees.

Atta is expensive though in Karachi as compared to rest of country.

We are providing 80% subsidy to DAP producers on gas prices, don't show us international prices of DAP.

This logic won't work with my parents that everyone either failed or secured mediocre marks so did i or even with the elite's private businesses but yeah its state treasury So everything seems to be kosher
I'm not sure what you meant here, but I was not trying to contrast Pakistan with Argentina in any way. Just found it amusing that Argentina is still stuck in debilitating economic situation despite the most generous IMF bailouts over the years. Even now, Argentina is negotiating with IMF for another bailout. The money that the country borrows is staggering. Seems like IMF treats Argentina with special consideration by not staying away from it.
Soon we will beat Argentina!! Our Kaptan is best at breaking records. 😎

This is only possible if IMF decides to give Pakistan the same special treatment that it accords to Argentina. Countries with terrible debt situation (like Argentina) should be allowed to fail and rebuild IMO :undecided:

since US print another more 6 trillions $,Global markets are flooded with dollars, pushing up global prices and global stock markets. The rising prices of oil, raw materials and food are driving up global inflation.

When the Federal Reserve begins to raise interest rates in March, the dollar will flow back to the United States, the dollar that developing countries originally entered will flow out, and the stock market will fall sharply. The United States harvests wealth by releasing and recovering dollars. When the dollar is released, the stock market and commodity prices are cheap, rise to a certain extent to recover the dollar, buy low and sell high, and take away a lot of wealth.

We import 60% of DAP. The % used to be alot higher previously.

Yes DAP is no where near international prices due to direct subsidy given but its still not cheap. There is a limit to which it can be subsidised.

Inflation is there but its coming from
electricity ( fuel adjustment charges coal is at $170/ton, Rlng at $40 (spot which we are not importing gladly because it is more expensive than FO by 2x)
petrol ( Arab light is at $88)
cooking oil ( both palm and soya bean have gone up by 80% never before seen in history).
Or industrial products which rely on imported chemicals/raw materials.

Not wheat, chicken, sugar, fruits or vegetables etc. Local lentils are cheaper now and imported varieties are more expensive.
