you cannot defend 11 player, none of them even offered a bid, by 8 selectors giving lame reasons. Admit that India has made blunder and Hindu Extremist is responsible for that. Apologize from Pakistani players and that might reduce our anger.

But I have no high expectation from self-centered India.

Don't you think this should be other way around for letting us know the "Hindu" mindset??

The best way to get publicity is attack in an offensive way someone who is very very popular world over, thats what shiv sena is doing. their behaviours is despicable, ut they are doomed and they know it.

The media should be smart enough to deny them publicity, thats their oxygen.

But Media also needs her share of Oxygen. ..always remember great Indian Bazzar.

If I were Shah Rukh, i would even go down and say that Sena is is doing this to me because "MY NAME IS KHAN"..what a timing it would be to promote the movie.

The much of the objection is created by Indians as well across all sections. But at last, it was in hand of few individuals with big pockets. There was throatcut discussion about the subject in Indian media and civil society. As for the center of gravity, India is so divergent in views/ideoplogies that it is near impossible to be on a single side for everyone.

There are many people who said that Pakistani players should be included. However the bottom line, it is all money game....paisa bolta hai!!

Apologize for what??.....coz they were not selected for bidding occasion!!

I don't see any forcing, Mumbai is so multicultural, all type of people will flock to it. Targeting Shah Rukh Khan that he has not spoken in favor of Marathis (mixed bag with the IPL issue) is wrong.

The "ticket to Pakistan" cut deep with Indian Muslims. I heard some of them talking today along the lines of "We can never be accepted"...

Today's Khaleej Times print version carried a picture of a banner with a plane, and underneath it was written "Mumbai to Karachi".

Well the Thing is , Most / Some of the Indian dont want to have any kind of tieup with PAK after mumbai attack.

1) We remember the Days when PAK didnt allowed Indian Humanitarian AID of Wheat to Afghanistan passing though PAK borders after the falling of Taliban. Non allowed Pass the biscuits.

after a Year India gave Afghanistan though Iranian Port.

The Logic is simple, Hate India, Kill India Bleed India, Ban Indian Channels, Terrorist activity etc.....

But when it comes to Money then Play with India becasue it makes players rich.

Most of the Indian Sections of people want tough action which is resulted in the IPL also. I wonder why PAK govt made Hue and Cry on this........Moreover relation between India and PAK is not good then why PAK players keen on playing IPL?

Basic issue is large-scale demographic changes, which may have an impact on local cultures.

Personally, I enjoy the unique culture of each end every region, North to South, East to West.

If, for example, Kannada speaking people in Bangalore feel insecure (which they sometimes do), I tend to view that sympathetically - even if I were not from that region, I would be poorer without their culture and traditions.

I want each region to preserve its heritage - Bhangra from Punjab, Rabindra Sangeet from Bengal, the Onam festival from Kerela, the folk songs and dances of the tribals etc. That is an important part of what makes India what it is. Some people could not care less, but I don't side with such people.

The unity of the country has to go together with respect for local traditions. It should not be exclusively one or the other.

Perhaps one option would be to give voting rights in local elections to migrants only after they have been assimilated into the local ethos.

Ultimately this may be an uphill struggle. Who knows, in 100 years there will be only one language throughout the world and that would be English. Possibly Chinese and Japanese may survive in some weakened form but for South Asian languages the outlook is bleak.

As far as your local Muslim population is concerned thats your internal problem. All Indians willing to give allegiance to Pakistan will be readily accepted.

Also about IPL remember, no matter how much money you give our players to play for your tournament, IPL gets a larger dollar value for their investment. Learn some ABCs of business before you go about derailing a thread.

Xenophobia is there in every country, but I'd never call it legitimate. In Pakistan despite all the objections, Urdu, a language primarily associated with people who migrated from India is still the national language.

Its almost laughable each time Shiv Sena utters its Marathi mantra. It's like enforcing Sindhi upon citizens of metropolitan Karachi.

Why bring in Marathi issue how is it laughable to you?
