LAHORE: Terming the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf sit-in as a massive conspiracy, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Shari Saturday called for formation of a parliamentary commission to expose what he said financiers and backers of the Islamabad protests last year.

Demanding an action against those involved in organising the sit-in, he suggested the proposed parliamentary commission should be consisted of heads of political parties.

The chief minister went on to say that the PTI sit-in inflicted huge losses to the country.

Earlier in the day, PTI Chairman Imran Khan while responding to a judicial commission report that rejected all his allegation pertaining to rigging in the 2013 elections, accepted the report.

He, however, expressed his reservations over the role Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) played during the historic polls that paved way for a first-ever democratic transfer of power in the country.

Fixing electricity didn't cause widespread protests, violence and brought somewhat of a running country to a halt, embarrassed your reputation globally and got innocents killed with billions lost. This whole sit in, now that its proven wrong, is a crime against the system (attacking the Parliament and the Police and the TV was already a crime against the state).
This should be investigated and people brought to justice so NO ONE EVER does this in a country and everyone follows the system. The system has CLEARLY proven it self stronger than any IK or his twenty thousand cousins.No little thug mafia should ever be able to threaten or abuse or attempt to destroy the system. People who got killed during sit ins, their blood is DIRECTLY on IK's head. He's the leader and he needed to know better. Human lives are valuable and through sit ins and violence, no one should get killed. No leader should be STUPID enough to put his poor followers in harms way by forcing them to conduct violence.

This is NOT justified, I know many who know Pakistan well and some from there. They've ALL said the same, why don't they investigate this issue so no one ever threatens the country's system. The ONLY place to discuss and resolve political differences is the Parliament and Assemblies. Not streets. People want to see a better and prosperous Pakistan where they can grow and their children can have a better future. IK was re-starting obsolete, violent political campaigns which should have NO ROOM in a modern and educated country.

Violence was not brought by the sit in but by SS's personal police and there were repeated pix of police WATCHING a mad man breaking cars instead of doing something then there was another man with a private pistol walking with the police like a typical gunda who no one questioned...He was congratulated and hugged BY THE POLICE on tv after going around shooting like mad! - Kindly answer this violence where police hugs a man for shooting while watching another breaking public property!
