Seven Tibetans arrested in Nepal, Govt. tightens border security

Close on the heels of a high ranking home ministry official in Nepal claiming that the government will take stringent measures against Tibetan refugees, some seven Tibetan defectors trying to escape to India through Nepal have been arrested very freshly in Simikot of Humla District, November 15, 2011.
The Tibetans-all dressed as monks, it has been reported, were heading to Dharmasala of India to meet the Buddhist cleric The Dalai Lama.
Within a week, the local police have arrested a dozen Tibetans from the same area.
All of them have been detained at a local police station, reports coming from Humla have it.
Spokesperson Sudhir Kumar Sah of the Home Ministry on November 13, 2011, talking to a media had claimed that, The government is in a very difficult situation since the Tibetans have begun setting themselves on fire. This will lead to a situation where in the government may have to slash all the facilities now being granted to the Tibetans such as that of their freedom to move. The government of Nepal is committed to its standard one China policy. We will not allow any activities that go against the interest of our neighbors.
Mr. Nanda Rokaya- Chief of Mansarobar Multiple Campus in Simikot claims talking to Nayapatrika Daily that The fresh arrest of the Tibetans is the clear indication of a policy shift of Nepal government. The arrest is taking palace close on the heels of Chinese Prime Ministers visit to Nepal. The government has become serious towards the security concerns of China.
The Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao is visiting Nepal December 20, 2011, next month.
