Seven Pak nationals arrested off Gujarat coast

JAMNAGAR: Seven Pakistani nationals have been arrested and their boat seized for entering Indian waters near Jhakhau off the west coast of Kutch district, Indian Coast Guard officials said on Sunday.

The boat named Al-Shakira was intercepted on Saturday evening when the Coast Guard team was patrolling the Arabian sea near the Indo-Pak maritime border.

The boat had seven Pakistani crew members on board. They are being brought to Okha in Jamnagar, where they would be interrogated by various agencies, the officials said.

two days ago when our fisherment caught in pakistani waters ,one pakistani member was saying that put them in jail,ISI shud grill them.

Look man its nothing, its mainly poverty. People do anything in poverty and thats why fisherman cross the border many times and most of the time they don't even know they crossed. Its good that both countries understand this and release them after making sure they are not someone else.

That was then, look they didn't do it now. Think about it 26/11 was a completly NEW attack never dreamt of before it happend- who'd have thought a "mini-army" of terrorists would hijack planes and fly them into US buildings?? The nature of CT is it is reactionary, yes there were many gaps in 26/11 but things have changed dramatically- ICG is being intensvly revamped, natiaonal-intergrated coastal survelince is being set up etc.

Indian fishermen have very valid reason to go near pakistani waters but pakistani fishermen don't have anything like that.
