Trips up North are not really family friendly. If you are with friends, you can sleep outside and everything.
I was saved the hassle man.
I didn’t really have a plan.. It was a “plan” without any plan.. didn’t know the route, places to visit or stay... did all that on my way ..
My father has a friend who runs the best place in Naran.. continental hotel.. its a 3-4 Star place..dependin on the suite... he had told me about calling him up.. (which I foolishly forgot..) !
So with no place to stay.. I got in touch with a guy mid way to Naran... who somehow booked me a place at PTDC resort (which was tough.. considering it was summer holidays- August - and places are jam packed) in Naran (beautiful view , river flows next to the Tiny cottages).
I stayed at army guest rooms throughout the journey.. in GB.. and on the way back I stayed at the continental...
Tents? Fk that man..
I went to Rama valley, outskirts of Astore.
(They have 2 good places there in the valley, PTDC & some govt guest room).
And a fuking tent village... i made a mistake there... went to the washroom in that camping place...
Dude you won’t fukin believe it how fukin disgusting the place was... those urban hoes n pimps had that place littered with fukin sanitary pads n whatnot..
Got the fuk outta that place... held my piss for another good hour (trek to the Rama lake)... and than to the PTDC to relieve my bladder!

I found GB to be very tourist friendly man.
Apart from the chilas kohistan religion (where I only stopped for a bathroom cum fuel break)... that place has a bad rep...
But yeah bro.. on my way back to Naran (it was around 9-10pm)... I got lucky ... the road was blocked and had to get out and clear the road myself...
The next morning I came to know 8-9 vehicles were robbed at the same place the night before (when I was travelling).
