Apparently,Serbia is the one to buy the 11 Cypriot National Guard Mi-35P attack helicopters.

Yes, it’s confirmed by our president that Serbia will buy 11 Mi-35P from Cyprus.

Looks like Serbia is doing a lot lately to raise the capabilities of its air force and air defence.

So far since 2016, Serbian Army Air Force and Air Defence + Police acquired:

  • 2 AN/TPS-70 radars (second hand)
  • There is confirmation from the ministry of defence that new radars are already ordered, but without any additional info. There was some unofficial information about Thales GM-60, GM-200 and GM-400 radars.
  • Modernization of Giraffe M85 radars is under way
  • Modernization of P12 radars is under way
  • 10 Mig 29 + 4 we already had. 14 in total, all to be modernized to version SM
  • 9 H145M (5 for the army and 4 for of them for police), 11 more ordered for the Air Force
  • 5 Mi-17V5, 3 more ordered for the Air Force
  • 4 Mi-35M, 4 more ordered for the Air Force
  • 11 Mi-35P from Cyprus
  • H215 Super Puma, 3 on order for police helicopter unit
  • Ka-32, 2 should be on order for police helicopter unit
  • Pantsir S1E - 1 battery (6 units), 2 batteries of Pantsir S1M or SM are on order
  • Mistral 3 ER, 18 systems as initial order
  • FK-3 air defence system is ordered from China, most probably 3 batteries
  • PASARS-16, 2 batteries (12 units) in use, modernization and upgrade for other L70 40mm guns is under way
  • 2K12 Kub-M, modernization is under way
  • C295, 2 should already be on order
  • AR100-C, 200 drones bought from Germany
  • Vrabac UAV - 6 systems with 3 UAV-s in each, and new improved version with increased range and endurance is in production
  • CH-92A - 2 systems with 3 UCAV-s in each
  • Pegaz UCAV - domestic development in cooperation with China, it should have similar capabilities and share some subsystems with CH-92A, 4 systems with 3 UCAV-s in each are on order, and should be delivered soon
  • CH-95 was also confirmed by our president as something we have ordered from China, but without any additional data. My guess is that the order quantity will be similar to what we did with CH-92A, which means 6 CH-95 should be on order.
  • Krasukha EWC (most probably Krasukha-4), on order from Russia
  • Repellent EWC, on order from Russia

And there are some additional modernization programs of existing equipment…
