Senior Pakistani judge: Foreign intelligence agencies behind Balochs unrest

QUETTA: Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, head of judicial commission formed for the recovery of missing persons, on Saturday held foreign intelligence agencies responsible for the deteriorating situation of Balochistan, claiming that there was concrete evidence against them.

Addressing a news conference at the Civil Secretariat in Quetta, Justice Iqbal said that foreign intelligence agencies wanted to deteriorate the situation of Balochistan in order to destabilise Pakistan.

Justice Iqbal further regretted that the authorities have not been able to compile the complete details of those who were enlisted as missing persons.

“There is a baseless propaganda about the actual figure of missing persons in the country.”

However, he said that according to the commission, the total number of missing persons stood at 460, including 18 from Islamabad, 117 from Punjab, 174 from Sindh, 170 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 57 from Balochistan while 12 each from Azad Kashmir and Federally Administered Areas (FATA).

He said that 42 bodies of missing persons were found in Balochistan, and claimed that foreign intelligence agencies were involved in the crime.

It is pertinent to mention here that Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VFBMP), an organisation striving for the safe recovery of missing persons in Balochistan, has already boycotted the proceedings of the commission and has categorically stated that the commission is not in the mood of recovering the missing people.

The inquiry commission’s chief further said that the list also contained the names of those living abroad and also those who have been involved in terrorism-related cases.

Iqbal said that the chief minister of Balochistan had sent a list of 945 ‘missing’ persons to the commission, and added that the complete details of even 45 persons on the list had not been made available.

“We sent the list back to the ministry for correction but it never came back,” he pointed out.

The commission’s chief said that in the past week, 12 people who had been missing were recovered from Balochistan. He claimed that some of the missing persons were in Afghanistan and they could not be recovered because they were in US-controlled territory.

Responding to a query about the delay in proceedings, Justice Iqbal explained that he was engaged in the Abbottabad commission. “We have been doing our job in Islamabad. We will soon visit interior Balochistan including like Gwadar, Turbat and Khuzdar. The people who are on the list cannot be declared as missing persons until or unless their relatives turn up and show their identity cards or driving license.”

He added that the commission is still facing difficulties because the government organisations and other organisations who are working for missing persons did not give the exit list. However, he said that the federal and provincial governments and secret agencies are cooperating with the judicial commission.

First of all I would recommend Indians to read up on a guy before venturing into making such wild accusations out of pre-programming - Justce (r) Javed Iqbal is was instrumental on NRO, restoration of CJP, acting CJP during the reference of the CJP, Hajj Corruption case, NAB chairman appointment

Most importantly he also served Chief Justice of Balochistan - hence he has the relevant experience to investigate the matter. Even more importantly, when the case against ISI was ensuing about missing persons he was tasked to investigate ISI's implication. The camp he belongs to (Stood up against Musharraf, refused to take oath under PCO, restored CJP, CJP went after ISI), would not unduly favor the ISI, unless the evidence points to it.

His findings has several parts

1. The list of missing persons is inflated, from 900 he brought it down to 450. Most of them are from Punjab than from Balochistan.

However, he said that according to the commission, the total number of missing persons stood at 460, including 18 from Islamabad, 117 from Punjab, 174 from Sindh, 170 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 57 from Balochistan while 12 each from Azad Kashmir and Federally Administered Areas (FATA).

2. Out of the 900 something people the ministry has not even given complete details of 45 people. His judicial commission asked them to revise/complete the list but they didn't.

We have credible reports about the 11 to 15 missing persons of Balochistan who are in the Paktia and Policharkhi jails under the control of US Army in Afghanistan.

There are many people in Pakistan who know that foreign powers are behind Balochistan unrest & all this missing person is a scam & a wave of propaganda against Pak Army & Pak Intelligence .

Gen. Musharrafa said in the past & is still saying that India is 100% behind Balochistan unrest & now even US is also involved more in Balochistan & US is always very good at making look nothing look like everything. What we need to understand here is a war has been declared against Pakistan & if you all read the reports coming in these days all are talking against Pakistan, US & India are on the top.

The Human Right Group & Baloch missing person recovery group, etc all are the puppets of foreign powers who are getting paid to tell lies against Pakistan & Pak Army. If we see what’s going on today there is a massive wave of propaganda going on against Pak Army & Pak Intelligence. Hamid Mir, Asma Jhangir, Najam Sheith, Kamran Khan etc (journalist) are all talking against Pak Army openly. PPP, PML-N, MQM & ANP have only brought terror in Pakistan things were so fine when they were not there plus things in Pakistan have gotten worse & they have never been this bad how they are today, don’t know why people love democracy because democracy has only brought pain & death in Pakistan.

What is happening to Pakistan today US & India are directly involved in destabilizing & damaging Pakistan. Pak Army needs to take over they have the constitution right to take over Pakistan & the culprits need to be punished for their crimes against Pakistan & if have been telling this for a very long time that US Embassy & US Consulates need to be shut down in Pakistan & their work must be reviewed because they have only spread terror & chaos in Pakistan & Indian Embassy should be kicked out of Pakistan as sign of protest of what they are doing in Balochistan & they are blocking Pakistan’s water illegally.

First of all don’t talk what you don’t know. What my Baloch friends have told me is that India & US both are involved in Balochistan & the missing person are all kidnapped by BLA with the help of foreign Intelligence agencies. Mainly India is supplying weapons, financial help, training & man power to the BLA.
Gen. Musharraf has said this in the past & is also saying it today “India 100% involved in Balochistan” “Indian foot print can be seen in Balochistan”. India has made many fake consulates in Afghanistan along the border of Pakistan whose main purpose is to send in trained terrorists in Pakistan & provide them all the intelligence help on where to strike, main recruits are Afghanis, Uzbeiks, Taziks who are send into Pakistan to spread terror & chaos.

This is where I say Pakistan needs a massive fleet of Armed Drones who can shoot & kill all the terrorists who are crossing border.

Fiercely Patriotic? Mate, He was a chief Justice , Justice javed iqbal is a moderate personality never took anyone's pressure on itself. Don't know much about his career but his opinions have been always supported secular agendas. Its not just him who blames foriegn agencies, there are some foriegn agencies of european nations who have even accepted that they've worked in pakistan .. And If it is related to RAW or CIA, then our establishment and agencies do carry evidencies. even i believe that many foriegn agencies tries to achieve different aims ,not only against Pakistan but against each others and it directly lead us to the conditions where we are today. Justice Javed is no more related with establishment so consider it as his personal opinion.
You know wat even I've seen in media that few Baloch peoples are comparing itself to Pakistan's other region and claiming that problem isn't just of crisis related to energy they are facing, today there problem is that persons are getting missing on daily basis and its just happening in balochistan. But following estimates shows that they are just doing propaganda and their claims aren't based on facts.

It wasn't convenient at all. He recovered 12 people who said they were in US held custody in Afghanistan. He has said there are at least 11 more people that he knows about still in Paktia province under US held custody.

Why were people kidnapped from Pakistan and taken to US held custody? Remember initially the whole issue of CJP's disbarment started under orders from the US to Musharraf because he was poking his nose into Pakistan's missing persons.

This is not a judgement without Inquiry.........basically he is the chairman of inquiry commission of what happening in Balochistan.........and this is what our intellgence agencies were saying from many years...........now even after court's commission as said the same thing after inquiry..................there is no doubt about this that Indian RAW is behind this and they are training those fighters in Afghanistan with back of CIA and Mossad........

These enormous number of Intl. NGOs working for the welfare of Pakistan aren't actually here to make the lives of us Pakistanis better, they're being used as spy tools. Dr Shakeel Afridi was running a NGO with the help of USaid. Europeans/Westerners/Americans literally worships money, why on earth would they spend millions in aids for the welfare of us Pakistanis? I believed from the very beginning that Intl. NGOs are involved in making people disappear and doing other nasty stuff against the security of Pakistan and with western mouthpiece news channels, Pakistan Army and ISI were being framed as the culprit.
