Senators say CPEC turned into ‘China-Punjab’ corridor

Lahore is almost solely a Punjabi city....can't compare with Karachi

A more apt comparison although on a much small scale would be with the twin cities in terms of percentages

but Lahore is too big compare to other cities except Karachi so should be made a province ... at the end of the day it will remain in Pakistan ...

A Pukhtoon born in Punjab is a Punjabi in our books, they work for the benefit of Punjab and assimilate with the local culture.

Na NA Na dont say like that bro .... a pakhtoon is a pakhtoon... now what would you say about Reham Khan's kids they were born in UK and raised there but they call themselves pakhtoons ?? r they purely british or they still have pashtoon blood in them ???

well Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif is not a Punjabi at all.. he is a Kashmiri pls dont distort facts... the only reason he invests more in Punjab because he has more property & business in Punjab and more specifically in Lahore 2ndly he gets majority votes because people of Punjab are not so good at judging government performance like the people of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where if governments doesnt perform then thrown out with the votes... moreover our Punjabi population is not concerned whatever is happening in their other provinces or whatever is happening in another district or council or town .... they are more into ghalli and mohalla politics

Where in my post which you quoted did I distort any facts?

The fact is we have 4 major ethnicities in Pakistan

Only one of them decides who rules Pakistan

Either change the make-up of the provinces or change the system of electing a federal govt.

60% percent shouldn't take loans on a whole nation and then spend it on their respective province, 60% percent should concentrate on nation building rather then outbreeding to dominate and enforce their will on others.
Provincial debt is serviced by the provincial budgets. #CommonSense.

come on ghilzai dont say that because most of Punjabi pathans kasuris, hamayun akhter khan , khakwanis, tareens, kakazais. niazis and many more are mostly ghilzai pashtuns a.
Interestingly none of the tribes you mentioned, are Ghilzais. "Kasuria Pathans" are descendents of Zamands, the Sarabani Afghans. Khakwani or Khugianis are Karlanries. Tareens are Sarabani Afghans. Kakezais are branch of Tarklanries of Saraban division. Niazis are cousins of Ghilzais, but are Lodis.

About @ghilzai 's comment. These descendents of Afghans in Punjab have always had worked for the interests of their parent Pashtun qaum of Afghanistan/Pakhtunkhwa before the Sikh period, at the cost of their own destruction, they were qaum-parast. They owed their power and Jagirs to Mughals, but as soon as Afghan Kings appeared on the scene in 18th century, they gave up on the former and shifted their allegiance to their Kinsmen from Afghanistan. They were the only ones in Punjab, on whom Ahmad Shah Abdali and his successors relied against Sikhs, so when Afghan rule dwindled in Punjab, they suffered greatly at the hands of Sikhs. The ancestors of these Punjabized Pathans have great shares in Pashtun history, but things are different nowadays, they are no longer qaum-parast.

All of you arguing about the ethnic divide and unfairness... Look at the middle east ... Syria, Iraq, Yemen, the whole lot.... Each of them killing each other like animals... The Kurds, the Yazidi, the Alawites, the Shia, the Sunni, the Turkmen... Ethnic garbage chopping each others heads off....

Thank God for Pakistan that we are not at that level... Love you diversity cherish your land and respect each other... Otherwise it a hell hole waiting for us all...

@Samandari is quite talented in Pukhtoon Ancestry, Ghilzais are predominantly on the Afghan side however there are a lot of Ghilzais in Fata, KPK and Baluchistan. Home for Majority of Ghilzais is Afghaniatan.

Why is that whenever the heavy Afghan Royal name like Lodi is mentioned, the name of that hijrra mairasi pops up in the minds of some people?

Like Ghilzais, Lodi includes number of tribes whose progenitor is a person by name of Ibrahim alias Lodi son of Bibi Mato. The sub-tribe of Lodi which produced the Kings, is Prangi. Niazi, Suri, Sherwani, Marwat, Dotani, Mian Khel, Daulat Khel, Mahpals etc are other sub-tribes who assisted their cousins Prangis in ruling India. Following are the further divisions within Prangi who are generally known as Lodis,
  1. Zaitun Khel
  2. Arand
  3. Raidi
  4. Umar Khel
  5. Ishaq
  6. Shahu Khel
  7. Yusuf Khel
  8. Yaseen Khel
  9. Ahmad Khel
  10. Mahmud Khel
  11. Marchi Khel
  12. Tatar Khel
  13. Daulat Khel
  14. Rustam Khel
  15. Shamuzai
  16. Ishaqzai
  17. Shiekhzai
  18. Hasanzai
  19. Pyara Khel
  20. Umarzai
  21. Majeed khel
  22. Gadli Khel
  23. Mahmudzai
  24. Zakriya Khel
  25. Alf Khel
The Sultans of India belonged to Shahu Khel clan of Prangis. Now tell me, that Sahir "Lodhi" can even tell what the heck is "Prangi"?
