An Iranian dhow seized off the Yemeni coast was carrying sophisticated Chinese antiaircraft missiles, a development that could signal an escalation of Iran’s support to its Middle Eastern proxies, alarming other countries in the region and renewing a diplomatic challenge to the United States.

Among the items aboard the dhow, according to a review of factory markings on weapons and their packing crates, were 10 Chinese heat-seeking antiaircraft missiles, most of them manufactured in 2005.

We are selling weapons and people are buying them. We don't control what they do with the weapons.

Maybe China should introduce something like 'End User Monitoring', as proliferation of MANPAD is a serious concern. And if i remember correctly, NORINCO agents were caught red handed trying to sell MANPADs to US drugs mafia.

Anarchy in the middle east is no good for us. It makes the oil supply unstable, and increases oil prices too.

china must enforce its law when it comes to foreign export of military equipment it is not good for china to lose its credibility among other nations. This kind of situation might affect china reputation and might negatively impact china!

China is going the Russian way and to up their weapons exports are supplying arms to dubious regimes and organizations - it would be great if China could stop that - the terrorists will find weapons anyways - but if China can avoid selling to them then at least they don't have a cheaper and mass source for their arms needs.

iran should just copy stingers and make them advance and mark them with hebrew markings if they really want to send weapons they need to think outside the box if you going to send something sophisticated just dont have your markings or your allies markings on it problem solved

They are being capitalistic about it - but indirectly it fuels instability in many regions.
