PESHAWAR: Security personnel have arrested Mudasar Khan, son of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Muslim Khan.

The security forces arrested him when he came for appearing in a test being held for selecting junior officers in the Airport Security Force.

Muslim Khan’s son was also a student of Peshawar University when Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan was busy in fighting underway then in Swat. He, later, called it a day at the university when his identity became known.

As long as he is not tortured or mistreated, it is a valid move.

While Muslim khan is busy depriving poor children from studying in shools and colleges and fighting against the state his son is allowed comfortably to study in Peshawar university, this just proves Muslim khan is nothing but a liar, power hungry corrupt and a selfish thug.

You cannot accuse son of the crimes that his father has committed unless he is also a collaborator. For all we know he might be innocent and is bearing the crimes of his father. He should be investigated thoroughly and if found innocent should be released. It will also send in a good message to the general public that army believes in justice and though he is the son of a known criminal, does not make him a criminal and hence released.

Muslim Khan is not just a criminal...

He is a bloodthirsty terrorist who openly backs the murdering rampage perpetrated by TTP and flaunts their atrocities in front of us on TV.
He is the destroyer of our schools, the killer of our men, women and children, the murderer of our troops and all the while he takes joy and feels proud about what he has done.

Certainly arresting his son is the need of the hour, while he threatens the families of all Pakistanis his own son should not be arrested and interrogated or used as leverage?

At least his son should never get admission to any armed force or government department which all need some level of security clearance.

While certainly it may come to pass that the son is different from his father, how many of you in real life really trust the son of a known gangster or a serial killer?
Would you wed such a person in your family?
Would you give him a job easily in your own domain, knowing the background?
Would you accord him the same trust you would to a person with much better background?
Why would you not arrest him and question him or even use him as leverage, if his father has been responsible for a bloodbath in your country?

Let us be realistic, the son shall have to bear the effect of his father's horrible crimes to some extent.
That happens in real life and the fact that his father is the worst of men makes it all much more real!

This has nothing to do with the Army. He was captured by the local law enforcement in Peshawar. Army does not have jurisdiction over this stuff. His arrest could be one way to employ pressure on him just as he has threatened the families of elected officials in Swat.

Did i say otherwise! i don't think so. My point being that because of the whole operation in the end the army, the government and the law enforcing agencies will be blamed by the taliban propaganda campaign. If he is innocent irrespective of who captured him, should be released after a thorough investigation and if not then should be made an example.
