A dozen players from Pakistan are taking part in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) T20 competition, including veterans Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez.

An official from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said that extra precautions will be taken in light of Friday’s vigilante lynching in Sialkot, Pakistan, which has caused outrage across Sri Lanka.

“We have enhanced security across the board, not just for the Pakistani players,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The remains of the expat factory manager Priyantha Diyawadana were repatriated to Colombo on Monday, and authorities in Sri Lanka have asked for the culprits to be punished for the “brutal and fatal attack”.

The five-team LPL began Sunday and ends with a December 23 final.

Hope they stay safe but a section of the crowds may boo them, if there will be live attendance.

Pakistan enjoys a good relationship with Sri Lanka. One incident in which criminals are being prosecuted - would not define or redefine our relationships.

The state and People of Pakistan stand with Sri Lanka on this horrific incident and more than that, the GOP is reviewing National Security Policy to never let that happen again.

. . . . .
Yup the real ones would still have love and respect for Pakistan after this gruesome incident.
How many times has the Sri Lankan navy turned your fishermen into fish food
But you are still kissing their butt's... Oh wait that is just the Indian habbit.
Real ones would bbq you alive.
You are trying very hard but the fair'n lovely cream is having no effects on you.

Are you trying to justify kissing Sri Lankan butts after this incident ?

I would say you are not doing a great job.

No that is an Indian speciality just like using Indian sources when it serves their narrative.
Forget the Internet clowns, those that matter in Columbo are well aware of facts that India ran away from its so called Vietnam and it was Pakistani forces who saved their neck from Tamils.
BTW, those 17 gunned down by your army... Surely they were not all Dalits or something.

Sri Lankan Government adviser links Pakistan lynching to Taliban takeover

The lynching and burning of the Sri Lankan is a clear reflection of the spread of Salafi Wahhabism in the region. And it’s a cancerous ideology that has to be contained, isolated and eliminated,” said Rohan Gunaratna, Director General of the Sri Lankan military think tank, the Institute of National Security Studies, who accompanied President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to the Indian Ocean Conference in Abu Dhabi, in an interview to The Hindu. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Rajapaksa had called for a regional mechanism to share intelligence and coordinate actions against the threat posed by “religious extremism and terrorism”.

Funny you call this incident "gruesome"

Even though it happens daily in 5000 years old way of life of you know who :)

. .
You clearly haven't seen how Sri Lankans are reacting on social media about this then. They absolutely hate us now

They have been attacking and burning their own Muslims for sometime and didn't do much about it

Now 1 incident happened and they hate us??? Well f*ck them

Pakistanis need to get out of these sheepish behavior. Yes culprits of Sialkot would be punished. But if someone hates Pakistan because of it then they can go and screw himself
