ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s top security agencies — both civil and military — have no doubt that the latest series of gory terrorist attacks in different parts of the country is NDS-RAW sponsored.

“We have no confusion that the NDS is supporting the terrorists and there is no doubt that the NDS is RAW’s poodle working against Pakistan,” one of the key spymasters told The News on Friday evening.

Security official sources said that investigations into the last few years’ major terrorist attacks reveal that now almost every terrorist attack is planned and executed from Afghanistan. Even the handlers and suicide bombers come from Afghanistan.

“Now even the suicide jackets are brought from Afghanistan,” a source said, adding that the terrorists belonging to TTP and Jamaatul Ahrar are freely using the Afghan soil against Pakistan.

Last year, Pakistan had even conveyed to the United States that Indian RAW and Afghanistan’s NDS are patronising terrorist groups to attack soft targets in the country. National Security Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua had conveyed the message to US Ambassador David Hale.

In the said meeting, Janjua had also emphasised on the need to break the nexus between terrorist groups operating under the supervision of NDS and RAW. Pakistan had asked for US assistance to tackle the situation. The said meeting between Janjua and Hale was held following the Quetta terrorist attack at the police training college where more than 60 cadets were martyred.

The NSA had informed the ambassador that the terrorists who had attacked the police training college were constantly in contact with their leadership and handlers in Afghanistan.

The US authorities though have been condemning terrorist attacks in Pakistan but despite its presence in Afghanistan, Washington did not do anything to break the nexus between the terrorist groups and RAW-NDS against Pakistan. Both Kabul and Washington have been repeatedly asked to take on the Afghanistan based TTP groups involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan. However, none of the two did anything against these terrorist groups.

A few months back, Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director General Aftab Sultan, while speaking in the Senate standing committee meeting had confirmed that a large number of terrorists arrested during the last three years had connections with and were working for the Indian and Afghan intelligence agencies.

“Out of the 865 terrorists arrested during the last three years, a significant number had connections with India’s RAW and the Afghan NDS,” the IB chief was quoted to have said.The IB chief had also said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was the target of foreign intelligence agencies and anti-state elements.

I wouldn't indulge in useless duels regarding if it was a fake surgical strike or real. But I believe it was a real one. It should have been done much before (especially after APS terrorist attack) because Afghan government is not really in a position to control its territory. Many international players are active in that country. Beyond Kabul, much of the Afghan territory is not much different from our FATA (well, I mean pre-military operation FATA) - that is lawless territory. Indians are exploiting that situation.

The cross border raids in Afghanistan have strategic and tactical benefits.

First of all, it shows the international community that the epicenter of terrorism is not really the FATA (as Indians keep claiming non-stop) rather it is Afghanistan. RAW and other agencies are using that country as a springboard for staging terrorist strikes in Pakistan.

If we could kill or eliminate a few other Indian monkeys (or even better if bring them back alive) that would hurt the enemy where it really hurts badly. And it'll expose the real filthy nature of the enemy.

Obviously, these strikes will destroy the terrorist infrastructure created by RAW-NDS evil alliance. We need to conduct the strikes continuously (based on intelligence) whenever the need arises rather than being the sequel to major terrorist attack in Pakistan.

Afghanis will have to decide if they want Afghanistan become a battlefield by allowing/collaborating with Indians to wage a war of terrorism against Pakistan. Obviously we'll respond not only to New Delhi but more so to Kabul. It'll be utmost stupidity on the part of Afghan government to allow Afghanistan becoming a battleground. The times when Afghans could use India card against Pakistan (by assisting blackie evils in using terrorism as a state policy) are gone now. We already have had enough APSs and Sehwans. We'll bleed profusely those who attack us. No more terrorism coming from Afghan soil. It's time to hit the terrorists and their masterminds in Afghanistan.

Pakistan army/ISI/non-state actors would love to attack and wreak havoc in India, except for one small problem. When something like 26/11 happens, their handlers and Pakistan connections are clearly established and all countries are then duly informed. The revelation by a former general of the Pakistan Army that the Kargil conflict was the brainchild of then army chief Pervez Musharraf, who had sent his regular troops to capture key Indian positions, has triggered varied reactions in both countries.
While Lt-Gen (retd) Hamid Gul, former chief of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, said Musharraf should have faced a court martial for his "hare-brained adventure", the Indian generals said there was nothing new about the so-called disclosure.
In a newspaper article, Lt-Gen (retd) Shahid Aziz, who was heading ISI's analysis wing during the conflict, wrote: "The Kargil war with India was an unsound military plan based on invalid assumptions, launched with little preparations and in total disregard of the regional and international environment."
The officer also denied the role of mujahideen in the 1999 war and accused Musharraf of cover-up.
"There were no mujahideen. Our soldiers were made to occupy barren ridges, with hand held weapons and ammunition," Aziz wrote in The Nation, a conservative English daily of Pakistan, on January 6.
Following the disclosure, Gul said: "I agree with Lt-Gen Aziz... A military operation without a clear political purpose is like a shot in the dark. Musharraf should have faced a court martial for his harebrained adventure."
