CPEC drive to boost Pakistan's economy has started. Yufei Maritimes technology (Gwadar) Co. Ltd. is displaying seafood from Gwadar in Shanghai International Fisheries & Seafood exhibition.

The company is building a processing plant in Gwadar Free Zone. This plant will provide great number of jobs to the people of Balochistan and will increase the Seafood exports of Pakistan.

Our biggest trade gap is with our largest trade partner and they have decided to import more from Pakistan. So this is no more an issue.

I hope there is no over fishing... as Pakistan fishing authority may lack to survey, make policy and monitor..Big fishing companies can catch thousands whereas small boat fisherman can't...

They have only processing plants the fishery rights are with locals. Pakistan was lacking greatly in processing this means more income for locals

This clip of a documentary series talks about how fishermen from Gwadar can earn more money through markets in the East and other international markets but had to transport goods 700 km East on land to Karachi before being shipped out. This dramatically increases transaction costs. With investments, fisherman can now freeze their products in Gwadar and directly ship goods to customers in South East Asia and China.

This results in lower transport time, lower transport costs, more income for local fisherman. Though the port and other investments are at initial stages, positive trends are being seen for the locals.

It also makes possible for economies of scale, further decreasing costs and increasing income.

Good news. We need to find ways to export our other products as well. We can turn sea food in large industry , more exports = more jobs for local. Export plays important role for growth of Economy as well.
Our government need to sit back on table board, and need to find ways to increase our export.

They don't have fishing rights and Pakistan Maritime security maintains no fishing zones and many areas are of limits for fishing. Plus there is a huge industry of inland fish farming in Pakistan.

ok good. Absolutely it is a must to fish farming. my friend has dug up 2 massive massive ponds on off limpopo; i mean they are around 200m x100m each. tonnes of tilapia which he uses just to sport fish; then drip irrigates around 30,000 orange and lemon trees.
