Thanks. I did not know they were Sindhi. I know quite few of the "Khans" are from my region. Not just Punjabi but bollywood has many sindhi actors.
Some Sindhi Actors in Bollywood, Aftab shivdasani, kareena kapoor, Govinda, sonam kapoor, ranveer Singh, jatin udasi, RajKumar Hirani etc
my honest opinion on the issue is every type of competition is good competition as it will help our industry grow and make it more competitive.i know many won't agree with me here but you have to show people what they want for the screens to make profit.as the numbers show people aren't into hollywood stuff as much as they are into bollywood so that leaves us with 2 option
1 let the bollywood movies run
2 imitate the bollywood with some local touch and that is what we are doing. but too few movies are in production that it is making the life of cinema owners hell. so they are forced show indian movies.so in an indirect way bollywood is helping our industry for now(by keeping the screens profitable).but as we have enough content releasing around eid day few days ban/advantage won't hurt.
People can't watch in cinema if there are bans in place, they, however, are free to watch whatever they please within the confines of their private spaces and that doesn't affect the local industry. The ban in question is intended to promote Pakistani industry over a period of time, that is deemed condusive for higher public interest. There is no boundaries for film industry and people watch irrespective of all bans.Amir khan fans in Turkey

There certain local regional film industry in India that have stagnated which had no competition whatsoever. These regional film bodies banned other language movies and created a monopoly of sorts and churned out lackluster stupid movies. Audience simply shifted to viewing better movies leaving them to their own whims & fancies.Pakistan should not make such restrictions temporary
It should make a policy on screening or not screening Bollywood movies.
Pakistani film industry will be better off if Indian movies shown are heavily taxed and funds thus generated are used to boost local industry
Agreed! Being a horor flicks buff, be it French, Norweigan or Mexican, I watch them all and even the language barriers have never held me back.Yes and there are no boundaries and this is in Australia on anthropology class

O we got a plenty of good news streaming the waves lately, good to know you found a common ground to share our joy over somethingFinally some good news coming out of pakistan
You cannot force people to watch or not watach certain contents whther Indian, Pakistani, english.. Countries will ban these contents but people will find another way to watch it i.e youtube, Torrentts etc if they like them . You remember Zee TV (Zindagi TV) channels did stop airing Pakistani serila in India after uri attacks and Pakistani artist were told to leave India but you still have many Indians especially women who love watching these serial in youtube. There is no boundaries for film industry and people watch irrespective of all bans.Amir khan fans in Turkey
