Now I am no scientist nor do I play one on Forums, but Last I checked glaciers melt to feed lakes and rivers, It snows on the glacier, then they melt to feed the system, I could be wrong and out to lunch, please feel free to correct me.

The signs at Glacier National Park warning that its signature glaciers would be gone by 2020 are being changed.

The signs in the Montana park were added more than a decade ago to reflect climate change forecasts at the time by the U.S. Geological Survey, park spokeswoman Gina Kurzmen told CNN.

In 2017, the park was told by the agency that the complete melting off of the glaciers was no longer expected to take place so quickly due to changes in the forecast model,

(They eventually changed the signs saying "eventually they will be gone realizing"), but the new signs will say: "When they will completely disappear depends on how and when we act. One thing is consistent: the glaciers in the park are shrinking.


Now some of you will think I am coo coo, To some degree you might be right, but I believe Planting trees and reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a wonderful thing for the planet.

“Across the region, glacial melt water is pooling into lakes and causing devastating floods,” said Greenpeace East Asia climate and energy campaigner Liu Junyan.

“In spring, we’re seeing increased flooding, and then when water is needed most for irrigation later in the summer, we’re seeing shortages.”

VN just start industrializing in abt 1990 after Soviet collapsed while CN started in 1979,after begging help from US-JP for industrialization.

Not mentioning we use much less coals, less fuel, dumping less toxic waste than CN.

Yet Viet Nam is already ranked lower on Yale's Environmental Performance Index while being substantially less industrialized than China. Is that something to be proud of? Have some sense of humility and stop mocking others when you're no better.

At least we r quite serious abt protecting the environment, Formosa steel got heavy fine when polluting the water. We dont try to get fast growth at all cost like in CN.

Thats why, CN glaciers r melting fast, from now, CN will suffer more flood in spring and water shortage in the summer

Go read the article. Melting glaciers are results of climate change. I really don't think a Vietnamese should be gloating over climate change's effects on China when its effects on Vietnam have been and will continue to be much worse.
