PML-N failed to justify 12 million dollars investment in Qatar, say PTI leaderships.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership on Wednesday has lambasted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and said that its ‘Qatari story’ is over today.
Talking to newsmen outside Supreme Court, PTI leader Jahangir expressed satisfaction over the hearing of Panama Leaks case and announced that Qatari story uttered by the premier has ended now.
He said that PM Nawaz’s speeches and documents were found contradictory.
“There is no documentation given in court to justify PML-N’s 12 million dollars investment in Qatar. Neither did the Sharifs earn anything from the sale of the Dubai mills as they were in deep losses at that time”, he added.
Meanwhile, Asad Umar said that all the lies told by Sharif family have been unveiled in the court.
On the other hand, Fawad Chaudhry has also highlighted the clashing statements of PML-N and said that the premier is not trustworthy.
Earlier today, a five-member bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan conducted the hearing in presence of government representatives, lawyers of petitioners, senior PTI leaders including Imran Khan, AML chief Sheikh Rasheed and media.
During the case proceeding, Justice Ijazul Ahsan remarked that Sharif family members maintain that they have invested 12 million dirhams in Qatar.
He observed that there are discrepancies between the Prime Minister’s documents and his public statements.
Meanwhile, Justice Azmat Saeed questioned about financial source for Jeddah steel mill.
He noted that London flats were purchased through Qatar investment, however, there is no clarification regarding funding for Jeddah steel mill.
Moreover, the case hearing is underway.
