ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan Friday reserved the verdict over the president's reference regarding appointment of judges in the higher judiciary.
A five-member bench of the apex court comprising Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Tariq Parvez Khan, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed heard the concluding arguments in presidents reference here on Friday.
On Thursday, the Supreme Court observed that the president could not use his discretionary powers in the appointment of judges as the recommendations made by the Judicial Commission and Parliamentary Committee were final in this regard.
