SC and taxation

.
No sir, god is your CJP - he annuls the laws made by the legislature of Pakistan - and in a democracy, Law makers are removed by the public by a vote, not the decisionof your little demi-god of a CJ.

Your Democracy seems only to function as a democracy so long as your CJP decides the rules the chooses to bend.
Unfortunately you do not have a clue about the role of the Supreme court. In all the democratic countries, the Supreme Courts have authority to hear the cases where accesses have been done by the legislature and guide the legislature to amend the law if needed. You and many like you think that SC can only hear the civil and criminal cases. Whereas the constitutions of the democratic countries give it the power to check, if necessary, the actions of the constitutional heads and legislature.

Your Phd education shows - I too am against taxes, I am against death as well, alas...by the way do you know the amount of taxes Europeans pay on gasoline or what Americans pay.
What my PhD shows? But I am not against the taxes, I am against unnecessary taxes. In Europe and American, problem is not what they pay, because they get benefits in return for what they pay. In Pakistan, there is no such return of benefits and all the money goes in the pockets of the rulers.

.
The people of Pakistan voted for this government therefore people should accept the responsibility.Had Army done this instead of CJP Qsaark would be criticizing army here  ..What is CJ A Judge or PM?He is interfering in government matters which is completely wrong according to Democracy.I am sure this guy will run for elections after retirement.
Go and get yourself educated about the role of the Supreme Court first. Read the constitution especially the clauses about the Supreme Court and its role. Than come back and discuss. Coughing out views without having a good knowledge-base of the matter is not the way of carrying out a debate. Do you have a reference to support your statement I have underlined? No, you don’t have any, because this is only your opinion and an ill wish I must say nothing more.

184. Original Jurisdiction of Supreme Court.
(1) The Supreme Court shall, to the exclusion of every other court, have original jurisdiction in any dispute between any two or more Governments.

Explanation.-In this clause, "Governments" means the Federal Government and the Provincial Governments.

(2) In the exercise of the jurisdiction conferred on it by clause (1), the Supreme Court shall pronounce declaratory judgments only.

(3) Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 199, the Supreme Court shall, if it considers that a question of public importance with reference to the enforcement of any of the Fundamental Rights conferred by Chapter I of Part II is involved have the power to make an order of the nature mentioned in the said Article.

Read the following about the ‘Fundamental Rights conferred by Chapter I of Part II’and try to understand that the laws made by the legislature not in accordance with the Part II Chapter 1& 2 of constitution can be challenged in the SC.

Part II: Fundamental Rights and Principles of Policy [Articles 7-40]
Chapter 1: Fundamental Rights [Articles 8-28]
Chapter 2: Principles of Policy [Articles 29-40].

Bottom line is that SCoP can give a ruling after a petition is filed BUT SCoP can't cancel a law or Tax which is imposed by the Parliament.

With the petition filed today in court by Adv. Shoaib, SCoP can rule if President's ordinance is legal or not but then again that decission will not have any power unless Palriament fights it back.

So far the majority in Paliament is with the President so there is no chance of such uproar.

The right option is street peaceful demonstrations but NS is quite and JI, IK etc are also on mute thus far so there is no opposition politician ghairatmand enough to lead people out on streets!

Just for your info, PTI and JI did protest against it in Lahore and Islamabad yesterday, though it would not make any significant.
