So India needs a political transformation that would rely on the institution instead in the policy of a leader

here no one understands the depth of the prob.........while leaders hav the responsibility of wat ever happens they cant go deep to see wat the crpf battalions are doing every moment,i wud rather blame the officers for such a low morale....using the army against our own people wud replicate a situation like pakistan or sri lanka......our internal condn is not that worse, but the govt can raise their morale by takin care f the affected families.

The problem with India is a political problem. Indian poverty can be cut by 70% if there is genuine change in Indian politics without sacrifice any other expenditures or raise tax. I think Indians are as intelligent as Americans, Russians, Europeans, Chinese, or Japanese. But why is India so much more backward as compare to these other countries? The reason is the nature of politics in India. Its not just the policies but the fiber of the political institution. Once this can be throughly transformed, than India would be in the path of long term, sustained, growth.

We know that India has been growing. But the currently growth is base on policies of a economic guru, not the transformation of the politics in the country. Once the current leadership step down, India would not be able to sustain the growth unless it finds another economic guru. With elections cycles in India, its highly unlikely that another economic genious would come to power and sustain the high growth rate in the last few years under MS.

So India needs a political transformation that would rely on the institution instead in the policy of a leader.

A good leader is a combination of part brains....part balls.....

For a growing nation, it needs a leader that knows the art of diplomacy, the courage to undertake a foreign policy that helps benefit the country's need for resources etc. and one that has foresight to invest in the future and not just the present.....

Our past leaders have not been the most educated bunch.....meaning pure politicians.....But the future seems bright....

The likes of Rahul Gandhi....who seems to be an able leader supported by economists such as Montek Singh Ahluwalia who trust me is a genius and will be getting more important positions in future governments will be the group that takes India to the next level.....

Dont dismiss the future crop of our leaders just yet......

But I do agree with the part that there needs to be a ground root change in the political fabric of India....starting with not allowing criminals to contest for elections.....(This includes those involved in scams and corruption....if we can blacklist STKinetics for kickbacks, we can do the same to our leaders)....I hope....
