In January 2014 the Saudi Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud slaughtered 2,100 endangered Houbara Bustard birds in the district of Chagai, Balochistan, Pakistan.​

Those birds were killed for their aphrodisiac properties.

With the start of the new hunting season (2015) 29 new, no-limitiations, permits were issued to the following Arab sheikhs:
