Saudis Reportedly Interested in Bolstering Defense With Israel's Iron Dome

Saudi military experts allegedly examined the Israeli military technology in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, amid reports that Israelis and Saudis are planning to join efforts in their standoff against Iran.

The prominent Swiss daily Basler Zeitung wrote that the Saudis seem to be interested in purchasing Israel's anti-missile Iron Dome system to stop attacks launched by Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The Basler Zeitung report suggests that Riyadh’s "European weapons dealers" are considering the purchase of such military products as the Israeli Trophy Active Protection System (APS), which was specially developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Elta Group of Israel Aerospace Industries.
The vehicle-mounted system is capable of detecting threats and eliminating incoming missiles and rockets with a shotgun-like blast.

Although there is no plausible data about whether there are diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel, the Swiss newspaper suggested there was "further progress" in the field, citing observers in Tel Aviv and Riyadh. A desire to counter increasing Iranian influence in the region, feared by both countries, could lie behind the cooperation. Earlier, there was a string of reports about covert Israeli-Saudi liaisons.

In November 2017, Chief of Staff of the Israeli military, Lieutenant General Gadi Eizenkot, said Tel Aviv was well prepared "to exchange experiences with moderate Arab countries and exchange intelligence to confront Iran." The Israeli minister of military affairs voiced the same stance:

"The Middle East today needs, more than anything else, a coalition of moderate states against Iran. The coalition against Daesh [terror outfit] has finished its work, after Daesh, Iran," Avigdor Lieberman said.

Separately, Saudi Arabia has presumably wanted to upgrade its defense capabilities to counter missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement, the report read.

The Houthi militants are known to retaliate against the Riyadh-led coalition war on Yemen by firing makeshift ballistic missiles into Saudi locations.

Not a expert but i do believe middle east countries could redeem the lost muslim empire or have influence on todays world by being super-power instead of biting each other *** and being western countries bitch. With all the money they have they could have been nuclear super power or building their own weapon and other stuff but no.... they buy everything in wholesale and whatever they like western or russian -chinese. I envy Israel sometimes with the donation, lobbying, Mossad and science look how far they have come. Besides keeping Middle East in check they also mess with USA-European countries sometimes, don't even care if the whole world is against them.

If you look carefully you will see their talmud come to life. Where it is said to them that every goyim(non-jew) will serve them. That is what AIPAC and American money, congress, military, law makers, do. They take money from Americans and make new settlements while their cities are decaying.

Ask yourself this question:
Why is it that when almost every country is worried about providing jobs to their citizens. Israel hardly talks about it.

It is because a humangous chunk of Israeli population are hardline jewsish priest kind of people. Who's core belief is that they have to dedicate their life to studying the their religion and understanding it instead of earning a living. So that is why they do not even seek jobs.

They are either surviving on aid from rich jewish billionaires, american tax payer or feeding off of interest they collect by lending money.

If you dont believe what I mention above you just have to visit a Jewish community in New York. Most of them have various ways of income but rarely working directly.

Not new... For many years Arabs/Muslims in general knew about such relation...but they were blind by their own Arrogance/Ignorance and this personal belief of the sacred KSA land... Thinking "It's not possible... The protectors of Makkah and Medina... doing such thing...after what happened".

Dealing with Israel is, in itself, not a big thing... What may hurt or anger Muslims about such relations...is how those states behaved in other muslim countries because of their Anti-Israel propaganda...
