Marketing clip from Taqnia company:
According to a strategic agreement with Antonov, various types of military transport aircraft will be manufactured and assembled..Such as Antonov 178, Antonov 124 and Antonov 70 on top of Antonov 132
5:27
The production line of the Saudi light transport aircraft An-132 will be in the city of Taif. When the construction of the production facility is completed, it will take about one year for the assembly and production equipment and then nine months for the production of the first aircraft which is expected to exit the production line during the third quarter of 2020..
The first aircraft to be produced will be for the Saudi Royal Air Force as it is interested in acquiring 30 aircrafts, 10 dedicated transport aircraft and 20 aircraft for special missions such as Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance ISR, Maritime Patrol MPA, Electronic Warfare and jamming and a Gunship..
Saudi Arabia plans to export about 80 to 100 aircraft, and so far there is interest from five countries to get the An-132 aircraft (Turkey, Egypt, South American countries, and some countries from East Asia), and other Gulf countries might consider getting them after seeing how they serve in the Saudi Royal Air Force first as it is too early to take a decision on this at the present time..
