DUBAI: Saudi prince Khaled bin Talal has offered a $1 million reward to anyone who captures an Israeli soldier to swap him for Palestinian prisoners. Khaled, brother of billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, was adding to the bounty offered by cleric Aaidh al-Qarni .

The bounty spree follows the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit by the Hamas in return for 1,000 Palestinians earlier this month.

"Dr al-Qarni said he was offering $100,000 to only take a prisoner but they responded by offering $1 million to kill Aaidh al-Qarni ," Khaled told Saudi Arabia's al-Daleel TV station by telephone on Saturday. "I tell Sheik al-Qarni that I support you and I will pay $900,000 to make it one million dollars to capture an Israeli soldier to release other prisoners."

Khaled holds no official position in the government.

Al-Qarni said on his Facebook page this week that he made the offer in response to a similar reward promised by an Israeli family for the killer of a relative in 1998.

Hey very odd. Maybe the Saudi worm is about to turn. unless this guy is a complete maverick and saudi govt has nothing to do with it official or otherwise

. . . .
If that keen the sheikh sahab should make an effort and do it himself , rather than luring people to commit more crimes

From the article and general politics of Saudi Arabia I'd say it's the latter.

A pure gimmick . A personage of Saudi Political establishment has to be very politically correct while dealing with the U.S , Israel etc. Its just posturing on part of the prince in an effort to gain some recognition in his preferred circles.

This is retarded. If hes that concerned about the Palestinians then lets see him actually do something tangible for them. Lets see him send that $1million to any of the Palestinian families. Forget that lets see him bring the Israelis onto a table and pressure them to release the innocents.

what would you say if TTP / Al Qaeda does the same for a pakistani soldier ?

Before looking at your question one must judge the type of people we are talking about when it comes to Zionists. You must appreciate the natural hatred these people have for muslims. It is sadly the most racist culture that has ever existed. I will give you an example of how low they view all but themselves...
Rabbi Yaacov Perrin, Feb. 27, 1994 N.Y. Times stated "One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail."
I can sir give you several examples of other race hated statements their leading preachers and leaders of their nations have come out with. When you are subjected to this type of hatred and racism it tends to alert the extremists at the other end of the scale. I dont want anybody to be harmed in the middle east including any Israelis but when you are constantly suppressed and bullied and suffer this type of hatred it creates anamosity and hatred back.
