Saudi carrier Flynas to launch 14 flights a week to Pakistan from Thursday

RIYADH: Flynas is to launch 14 direct flights from the Kingdom’s airports to major cities in Pakistan, beginning on Thursday.

Announcing its expansion program, the airline said the launch is part of its ongoing program to extend its reach to Asia and open new strategic international routes.
Flynas will launch flights from Dammam, Riyadh, and Jeddah to both Lahore and Islamabad and will commence on Thursdaywith flights from Riyadh to Lahore. Riyadh-to-Islamabad flights will follow on Friday, along with flights from Dammam to Lahore, while flights from Jeddah to Lahore will be launched on Saturday.

These flights will utilize the A320 fleet and new B767 aircraft. Bookings can be made through flynas’ smartphone application, travel agents, and the flynas website.
The new routes will serve business travelers as well as ferry Hajj and Umrah visitors. They will also connect passengers to many cities within the Kingdom with flynas’ network, which includes 17 domestic destinations.
Speaking to Arab News, Pakistan Ambassador Khan Hasham bin Siddique said: “It is a matter of great satisfaction to see flynas resuming its operations in Pakistan. Air links are vital not only for facilitating travel between the two countries but also for enhancing overall relations by further strengthening people-to-people contacts, business interactions, bilateral trade, and tourism.
“The resumption of operations in Pakistan, while ensuring the continuity of the momentum gathered recently by several high-level bilateral visits and interactions, will especially provide impetus to our trade and commercial relations,” the envoy said.
It will be particularly welcome for the 2.7-million-strong Pakistani community residing in Saudi Arabia, the ambassador stressed.

It never ran in losses due to passengers but because of nepotism based induction of employees to the org. The airlines doesnt even need thousands of employees that have recruited just cause they are relatives of so and so.

Their air hostesses are just worst and they all dream of getting hired at etihad airlines or some intl airline where they are ready to behave well but on pia they treat passengers like shytt.

ok i did edit some angry part.
Sometimes you have no option and you have to end up travelling via pia also due to terrorism issue many intl airlines have stopped flying to pakistan and then only option left in that case is pia unless you take connecting flights.

If we wont criticize and point out flaws, issues will not be fixed. And its a national airline ,besides flight revenues they also get funding from tax payer money which is why this org got littered with nepotism menace.

You can ignore my posts if you dont like opinions but criticism is necessary and the kind of staff pia has they have no concept of taking feedback. Just check the thread link i shared in post number 5

You redited your post later on so imissed that part. I dont know why you resorted to deflection. I am talking about pia current state not past.

As of past i myself mentioned on this forum some weeks back that it was pia that set up emirates airline and helped it get on its feet by giving training and a proper organization structure because pia was once a world class airline but now it is worlds terrible one.

It can be improved but first who will chuck out overhired staff and buy new aircrafts, new aircrafts doesnt mean new models, that mean jets in good condition. Would you feel completely safe to send ypur kids and family to fly in pias shabby old jets? Or like a jet mentioned in thread link i shared

And btw pia was taken to its heights in that period by 65 war hero Air marshal Noor khan who is attributed with leading paf to victory in 65 war

I understand your sentiments but i would not agree with you. Its not that pia cant be improved but for decades it has only gone down degradation path as none of the corrupt govs wanted to fix it.

Mujhay yaad hai may nay aik dafa travel kiya tha tau meray agay wali row may say seat tak nikali hui thee and it was giving a very broken , shabby and scary look to aircraft and i was sitting there wondering is it even safe to fly in this aircraft if its such in such poor condition.
And its not that one is paying less for pia, they charge quite the same as any leading airline.

Same here, I hate that the IFE don’t work however the money we spend on the ticket goes to Pakistan and not a foreign country also the flights are direct to Pakistan.

My father is for privatisation of the airline however I have hope that steps can be taken to fix the airline. Also why should a private firm get The Roosevelt Hotel for free, that’s my main concern with privatisation of PIA.

No one should call you stupid for flying with the national carrier but I don't see it is necessary to do that. I always fly with the airline that offers me better services. However my point is not whether one should travel with PIA or not rather it is about the business opportunity. The corrupt leadership of PIA and the govt always claim that there is not enough business and that is the reason for PIA's losses which is not true and this news proves that there is a plenty of business and foreign airlines are benefitting from it. PIA has been infected with politically appointed scumbags and current PM of Pakistan Shahid khaghon Bassi was the Chairman of PIA and also he is the owner of Air Blue a private airline so definitely there is conflict of interests...
