Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has plans to set up offices for the National Human Rights Society in five prisons.
The programme, directed by Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Naif, aims to ensure better services for inmates and detainees. The offices will receive complaints from inmates and detainees, and have a close look at the prisons' daily operation, Xinhua reported.
The National Human Rights Society has received those offices, some of which are nearly operational, Saleh Al Shirida, member of the society, told Al Riyadh newspaper.
