Saudi Arabia just won control of the oil market

They fear Teslas,TOGG´s and other electrical car brands, its just them grasping the reality and making full use of that oil or getting the biggest share in a market which is about to face major changes because its certain that in 10 years Oil to a large extent will be useless.

Yeah, some might have said that 10 years ago as well but major cities worldwide today already decided that there will be diesel bans and car companies are going trough structural changes at this point to build electrical cars in a very large capacity.

Saudi Arabia is an economy with 2 sources of revenue.... 90%+ oil and under 10%~ hajj..

both sources of revenue have been almost completely shut down..

now consider that Saudi arabia is an importer consumer economy.
Russia $19.21..

Here s the full article:
Saudi Arabia just won control of the oil market

When Saudi Arabia, OPEC's de facto leader and most influential member, decided at its latest meeting in Vienna to break its recent strategic oil partnership with Russia and adopt a new policy to maximize production levels, oil prices crashed — posting their biggest slide since the Gulf war in 1991.

This decision is very unpopular with most oil exporting countries, international energy companies and American shale producers because collapsing prices will drastically decrease their revenues and, in some cases, force them into bankruptcy.

There are several reasons why the kingdom is finally taking this aggressive approach.

First, the successive Saudi monarchs have all recognized the strategic importance of spare production capacity to manage the global markets because it provides the vital indicator of the world's oil market's ability to respond to sudden crises that jeopardize the free flow of oil supplies.

Saudi Aramco, the state's gargantuan oil and gas company, spent over $35 billion since 2012 to maintain a 12 million barrels-per-day sustained production capacity with a 1.5 to 2 million barrels-per-day spare capacity cushion that can be called upon at short notice. And that's exactly what the Saudis will be doing over the next several weeks. Saudi Aramco is expected to be pumping a staggering 12 million barrels per day by April 1, 2020, with exports reaching between 9.5 to 10 million barrels per day.

On April 1 or shortly thereafter, Saudi Arabia will most likely surpass Russia to become the world's second largest producer. But this oil price war won't end until Saudi Arabia takes back the global production crown from the United States, which should happen within the next two years.

No country other than Saudi Arabia, including Russia, has had the political and financial will to invest so heavily in upstream production capacity. This provides the Saudis with the means to go it alone and inflict insurmountable chaos on the vast majority of their conventional and shale oil producing competitors around the world.
To emphasize this point, a new directive was issued last week by the kingdom's energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, to increase Saudi Aramco's sustained production capacity to 13 million barrels per day in about 24 months.

From an internal Saudi perspective, lower oil prices are manageable for the next decade. According to Aramco CEO Amin Nasser, "In a nutshell, Saudi Aramco can sustain the very low price and can sustain it for a long time." Saudi oil is the cheapest to produce (gross taxes, capital spending, production and transportation costs) in the world at $8.98 per barrel, according to the Aramco IPO prospectus of last year.

In comparison, US shale oil costs $23.35 per barrel (and $20.99 for non-shale), while Russian production costs average $19.21 per barrel, according to the Energy Information Administration.

In fact, with new drilling technologies, Saudi production costs have decreased even further at some fields, such as at the world's largest offshore oil field, Shaybah.

Second, the Saudis have over $500 billion in net foreign assets, so their public finances are shielded to a sudden drop in revenues from petroleum sales.

The new Saudi policy suggests that sustained lower prices will help them maintain, and with time, increase their market share in the face of the shale oil production boom in the US. Hydraulic fracturing for shale oil has already added several million new barrels of oil per day to the global market. However, shale oil is expensive to extract, so lower prices averaging between $20 to $25 per barrel for the US benchmark will mean several important US producers will find their business models unsustainable soon enough and completely insolvent over the long term.

Saudi Arabia holds about 25% of the world's oil reserves, about 70% of global spare production capacity, and it is the world's largest crude exporter by a large margin.

Through various revenue model projections based on different oil price averages and export levels, the Saudi finance ministry and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) are designing financial government expenditure plans that can sustain oil prices falling as low as $30 per barrel on average for at least the next five years, with temporary dips as low as $15 per barrel, according to various government financial projections. Aramco CFO Khalid Al Dabbagh re-emphasised this point by saying "We [Aramco] are very comfortable we can meet our shareholders' expectations at $30 a barrel or even lower."

It would be a grave mistake to doubt the political resolve of the current Saudi leadership to see this new policy through.

Saudi Arabia has created a new oil market with new fundamentals. Oil producers that have not understood this tectonic shift and have failed to adapt to this new reality will suffer and will be left behind.

Their oil field is in our range .... If they control market and crush other oil producer , then we can keep them hostage

Yeap one of the goals of Iraq war back in 2003 resulted in prices of oil skyrocketing was make renewable energy industry profitable to be invested ...

You apparently go unchallenged on pdf... shows people agree with what ever you say
LMAOO. to be honest, i think i survive on PDF only by not falling into argument and trolling traps and destroying crappy arguments with good logic or exposing fallacies. Or i've gotten so much hate already on PDF, i have gotten innoculated from the hate and sectarianism and accusations.

no matter how stupid it is.
lmao.....i've learned to see more points of views in more detail cuz of PDF..like i've thought more of Turkish perspective of the SYrian war, and even Pakistani citizen perspective of Iranian recruitment of Pakistanis. I am accepting more harm is created for those people than i was acknowleging, but i hope you are wrong that my points and arguments here are stupid. It was funy to me that you accused someone else a day or 2 ago of being into conspiracies but you yourself are quite into them too.

So tell me, when you go to buy milk, do you get it for free? and would you buy it more than your needs?
I see u trolling...and hating...

KSA has the cheapest crude oil in the world to extract and the best crude oil in the world in terms of quality. The largest petrochemical sector in the world too. Almost all of KSA is unexplored as well. By all accounts the mighty Rub' al-Khali has more oil and gas than all of the known oil and gas reserves in the entire GCC going by the geography and geological history of that area of the world (it was once a giant lake with extensive marine and animal life since millions of years ago).

This thread also clearly demonstrates that its participants are completely clueless about the future of oil, gas and the petrochemical industry, the Saudi Arabian economy or the fact that KSA alone is one of the world's emerging leaders in the alternative energy market and that KSA alone could power half of the world with alternative energy (in theory) with solar power alone if just 15% of its landmass was used exclusively for solar panels.

Saudi Arabian alternative energy firms like ACWA are developing solar and wind power plants in deals valued over 20 billion USD from Uzbekistan to Morocco in the past 1 year alone.

Nothing like inferiority complexes in full swing from Arabized trolls on the mental asylum that is PDF.

KSA alone has trillions upon trillions of dollars worth of mineral, natural (oil, gas etc.) wealth. More than any other country in the world not named Russia or USA.

Sometimes I wish you were standing next to me so I can drop kick your Patwari ***.

Him listing out all the assets they have don't mean shit if you don't see how the work force is evolving, this pandemic has shown how majority of sectors (service) based the work force can operate from home thus reducing the need for all that the Arabian guy listed.

- Schools
- Businesses

All operating from home except Medical, Restaurants etc.

Solar Power all countries have enough land capacity to produce their own; minerals all nations have certain amounts of those and diverse the world can outsource from anyways. The importance these Arabs give themselves is nothing but a desert mirrage.

We must raise oil prices back to 100 USD, Russians are causing economic terrorism

Oil is here to stay for at least another 100 years as a source of transportation let alone the huge petrochemical sector that derives from the oil sector. No need to mention gas. Almost all of the Arab world is unexplored for resources as well despite the enormous existing resources second to none in the world. That is mostly due to geography and drilling technologies being very expensive in very challenging geography like the Rub' al-Khali for instance which geologically is a carbon copy (just on a much larger scale) than the existing oil/gas gold mines stretching from Southern Iraq to UAE and in Al-Ahwaz across the pond in Iran.

So people can do their own match.

Also KSA/Arab countries export to the West (oil) is negligible. Our biggest costumers (by far) are developing nations like China, India and others who are lightyears away from using electric cars on a massive scale. There are giant untapped markets like Africa etc. In fact 90% of the world can only dream about such projects.

Moreover KSA is already working towards alternative energy (ACWA being a regional giant on this front) and Aramco is working on electric cars too. So given the geography and climate of our region, KSA will turn from an oil/gas giant to a alternative energy giant in the future as well.

The whole petrochemical infrastructure already enables KSA to be the biggest seawater desalinator in the world and doing it very cheaply compared to the rest of the world where such a technology is a luxury and given our several 1000's km long coastline, that is a resource that we will never lack either.

There is likewise many projects to plant 100's of millions of trees all across KSA once again to help improve the air quality, produce moisture and lower the temperature.

The "Greening Riyadh" project is in particular a promising project and is expected to lower the annual temperature by 2 degrees celsius.

As for oil prices, only KSA and very few others can sustain such low oil prices on the long run while still being on the plus (Aramco earned almost 100 billion USD despite low oil prices, attacks on infrastructure etc.) so this will force other oil producers to stabilize the market.

Also it will help remove decades of "pampering culture" in the GCC and destroy the current anomality of no taxation, everything served, giant public sector, getting paid for free by the government etc. Already happening. Which will create a very competitive society and give billions of revenue to the government and likewise result in a democratization process in the GCC with people demanding direct participation in the decision making process once the welfare states on steroids change to something resembling Scandinavia and Europe more.

Good for Iraq too just for the fact that corruption will decrease.

So I say, let the oil prices keep falling for a while until they stabilize. In the meantime KSA/GCC will continue the transformation and the removal of that "pampering culture" that is economically a very bad thing for everyone involved. For instance I care very little about materialism despite being from a well-off family (what most of the world would consider rich) and even though Arabia/Arab world was always a rich region, we are some of the best survivors in the world who managed to build some of the largest empires and most influential cultures and civilizations (oldest too) against many odds.

Even thriving communities in very challenging geography since ancient times.

That's enough to cause heart attack to most of pdf and almost entire cabinet and senate of Pakistan.

The funny thing is that 99.9% of those "haters" on PDF are partially Arabized (meaning the culture they grew up in, their religion, personal names, surnames, languages, scripts, cuisine, music, art, business, people to people interaction, family members is heavily influenced by Arab civilization).

What do you think my reaction is when I see users using Arab ID's on PDF (SheikhKamal, Jafari, Qureshi, Arabic Muslim name x or y, Arab Muslim figure x or y) insult Arabs in thread x or y, yet in another thread x or y, they use the accomplishments of Arabs and Arabs as if they were Arabs themselves when arguing with non-Muslims, Indians or others.

Those people must have some kind of mental illness or they are unable to see the contradiction and irony.

It seems that their brains cannot pick apart ancient pre-Islamic Arab/Semitic history (oldest civilizations in the world), Arab Islamic heritage, Arab architecture, poetry, art, Arabic language (most influential language in the Muslim world by far), Arabic scrip, Arab Muslim figures, Arab lands, Arab people (500 + million people) and Arab rulers/policies of those rulers.

Talk about an obsession/hatred. Very contradictory and as I wrote, sociologists should study this phenomenon.

The most funny thing in this regard can be observed from Pakistani Shias. Their entire ideology/sect was made in Arabia by Arabs and all their holy figures are Arabs, yet they seem to have an insane amount of hatred for Arabs while they themselves are claiming Arab heritage in the millions, lol. In my many years on PDF, I have met 2-3 openly admitted Pakistanis Shias on PDF who had a nuanced view of Arabs and the Arab world. In case somebody wonders, I do not care the slightest about sect, just an observation. Many Sunni/Salafi Pakistanis hate Arabs due to "Arabs destroyed the holy Ottomans nonsense", and the secular Pakistanis blamed all the native failures in Pakistan on Arabs, lol, their new scapegoats.
