I meant God is source of all knowledge and if he wanted it was not important that the holy prophet didn't had formal education and he would have gave him all the necessary knowledge.


By the way its hard for me to accept after the value that holy prophet put for knowledge in later years he did not learnt how to read and write.

Indeed Allah is creator of everything but Mohammad pbuh was not able to read and write.
Hence the hadees shared by a hindu @ defence.pk holds no grounds.

First of all it's indeed a narration from major Sunni books that I posted here also you can find it in Shia sources too so it happened, otherwise it means you wanna reject major Sunni books credibility...
Secondly asking for pen and paper doesn't mean he wanted to write by himself like a king who wants to write a letter .. does he write it by himself?
