Saudi Forces Foil Terrorist Attack North of Riyadh, Kill Four Attackers

Saudi forces on Sunday foiled an attempted terrorist attack on al-Zulfi center, around 260 km north of Riyadh.

The authorities were able to kill four assailants.

The suspects were on board of a Toyota car and tried to crash through the main entrance of the General Directorate of Investigation’s Center in the capital.

Security forces prevented the vehicle from gaining access to the compound. An ensuing firefight resulted in the death of three attackers who were armed with machine guns.

The fourth was wearing an explosive belt device and detonated it.
