Find this article hard to believe, given GULF countries have access to latest US weapons.

Sources have confirmed to Financial Express Online, “From the Gulf Region countries including Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia have expressed interest in buying the Indo-Russian BrahMos Missile. The talks are still in the early stages and further discussions put on hold due to the global lockdown due to COVID-19.”

UAE is also looking at the indigenous Astra 70-km range air-to-air missile. This can be fitted on the French fighter jet `Mirage’ which the Air Force of that country is flying.

I won’t be surprised though!!

This is the era of going back to the “Roots”....

MBS/MBZ etc. are going back to Ebu Jahil, Ebu Lahap....
Americans wont like to loose any business.

and They know the quality of made in India stuff, so its just modi ji giving lollipop to idiot Bakhts.

Given Pakistan has military advisors embedded with both nations' militaries, I would find this unlikely.

The Financial Express publication is one of those India-centric publications that tries hard to give a false air of credibility by branding itself similarly to a major trustworthy western journal (The FT), but fails miserably due to its straightforward and blatant saffron nationalist agenda. I place it in the same category as those other comedy-rich impressionists the "New York Post" and "The Telegraph". Note how these people simply imitate seasoned western newspapers with slight variations in name, designed specifically to benefit from the intangible trust built up in association with the western originals. It is a form of intellectual theft.

If you know where you are from, it is harder for people to stop you where you are going. It is in the roots, not the branches, that a tree's greatest strength lies.

What are they going to put it on.

Its not compatible with US made ships and puny 240 km range makes it useless for them as ground launched version

No one can buy Brahmos without an NOC from the Kremlin. Russia has its own superior missile on the arms market.
Yeah, Oniks in Bastion configuration would be much more likely. Egypt is already buying it for coastal defense.

why can't the idiots just buy it directly from Russia? end of the day, its just a russian missile assembled in india!

Troll news..... Saudis and Emirates have access to top of the line western weapons...... they won't offend western world by procuring Russian Indian cruise missile....

BRAHMOS max range is as of now is 400 kms so again there's no reason for these countries to offend western world for such a deadly but short range missile....
