what a comparison :dirol: India can buy 1 billion barrel of oil .... 600 millions plus indians ko poverty line se upar lekar phir baat kar :omghaha:

It does not matter what the poverty of Indian population is. India is a big buyer of petroluem. They pay cash. Saudis of all stripes like their cash.

good you pay them cash but u cant replace Pakistan in any way .....our religious interest is more important than your 1 billion dollar .....

Came across this news item today. It reminded me of the mushrooming of madrassahs financed by the Saudi Arabia & the Iran which are the root cause of sectarian killings. There is a saying
"Beware of the Greeks bearing gifts". there should also say " Beware of the Saudis offering Madrassah's".

I do not necessarily agree with all of the following but there is certainly some truth in it. I have personally been confronted by bearded Muslim youth outside Regent Mosque in London who were preaching that voting & democracy were against Islam

Keen to secure oil contracts, Belgium’s King Baudouin made an offer to Saudi King Faisal, who had visited Brussels in 1967: Belgium would set up a mosque in the capital, and hire Gulf-trained clerics.

At the time, Belgium was encouraging Moroccan and Turkish workers to come into the country as cheap labour. The deal between the two Kings would make the mosque their main place of worship.

Brussels already had the perfect place. An oriental pavilion designed by Belgian architect Ernest Van Humbeek had been built in the capital’s Cinquantenaire park in 1879, but was falling into disuse. The 1967 deal gave the Saudis a 99-year, rent-free lease. The pavilion was refashioned by the Saudis, opening in 1978 as the Great Mosque of Brussels, as well as the seat of the Islamic and Cultural Centre of Belgium (ICC).

Although the mosque was treated as the official voice of Muslims in Belgium, its radical Salafist teachings came from a very different tradition to the Islam of the new immigrants. Today, there are around 600,000 people of Moroccan and Turkish origin in Belgium, a country of 11 million.

“The Moroccan community comes from mountainous regions and rift valleys, not the desert. They come from the Maliki school of Islam, and are a lot more tolerant and open than the Muslims from other regions . George Dallemagne, a Belgian member of parliament for the centre-right CDH, an opposition party. “However, many of them were re-Islamified by the Salafist clerics and teachers from the Great Mosque. Some Moroccans were even given scholarships to study in Medina, in Saudi Arabia.”

Mr Dallemagne says the Salafist clerics have tried to undermine attempts by Moroccan immigrants to integrate into Belgium. “We like to think Saudi Arabia is an ally and friend, but the Saudis are always engaged in double-talk: they want an alliance with the West when it comes to fighting Shias in Iran, but nonetheless have a conquering ideology when it comes to their religion in the rest of the world,” he said.

Mr Dallemagne has sponsored many resolutions in the Belgian parliament aimed at loosening ties with Saudi Arabia, and reducing the Salafist influence in Belgium. “We can’t have a dialogue with countries that want to destabilise us,” he says. “The problem is that it is only recently that authorities are finally opening their eyes to this.”

The mosque has sought to send a strong message opposing the latest attacks, with Mohamed Ndiaye, one of the centre’s imams, releasing a statement in the aftermath: “We would like to express our deep sorrow over the Paris attacks. Our thoughts are with the people of Paris and the victims’ families.” Other officials have also come out to repeat the message that Islam is a religion of peace and has nothing to do with the terrorists of Molenbeek.

But the mosque remains a concern for the Belgian government: in August, a WikiLeaks cable revealed that a staff member of the Saudi embassy in Belgium was expelled years ago over his active role in spreading the extreme so-called Takfiri dogma. The cable – between the Saudi King and his Home Minister – referred to Belgian demands that the ICC’s Saudi director, Khalid Alabri, should leave the country, saying that his messages were far too extreme, and that his status as director meant he should not be preaching anyway.

good you pay them cash but u cant replace Pakistan in any way .....our religious interest is more important than your 1 billion dollar .....

i know some of your guys are intellectually challenged. 1 billion barrels of petroluem = $30 billion dollars at current market prices. A couple of years ago it was $100 billion.

Stupids like you donot have any idea that there are some relations above Money. Even if u buy 2 billion oil it will not have any change in Saudi's policy. India can never buy Saudi loyality just by cash.
by the way same arguments were given for China, today China is more closer to Pakistan than Indian
Same for Russia, Russia is still selling weapons and dismissed Indian concerns.
Same Was given for France about Submarines and Radar, France stil offersing its radars and equipments.

please go and do some home work then come back.

There are relations above money. Saudis have never supported Pakistan in their war with India.
The 2006 visit by Saudi King to Indian Republic Day parade signaled their intent to both India & Pakistan.

You are a genius and i wonder you have figure it out this all by your self .India is a big reality in this part of world that i and all reader admit but its not always trade .You talk about trade deficit in favour of KSA when doing business with Pak but you failed to count remittances .Pakistani`s are adding more value since Non muslim cannot enter certain parts of Saudia so KSA choice for man power is left with Pakistani`s and Egyptians .Indian dream all started when you guys started smuggling your women from various parts of India as slaves to Arab Sheikh ,now some of these slaves have sons which are now prince and princesses ,this is all part of changing demographics we talked about ,Author failed to understand if ever Kingdom or any part is in pressure who is gonna help ,Qatari ,Emirati (deep inside they knew Pak will come as we always do) .
India huge export numbers don't apply to Saudi Arabia alone. Truth is that India is diverse economy it has got a lot to offer to the overseas buyers. Whereas as if you take microscopic look on the economy of Pakistan you will come to know that a very very large proportion I.e. 60% of our export revolve around the typically traditional item called cotton and it products. The other remaining products are Rice, Leather etc etc.

Therefore, with a very very narrow export base let alone Saudi Arabia, we won't be able to get a good number with any other country in the world.

30 billion dollars or 300 billion dollars...... they will never have very close relationship with you at all ....they will never call you to defend their territory ...never ever... forget that kind of relationship with saudis.

Saudi India relations are not a problem for us. But considering that Saudi will ever support India against Pakistan in any case is living in fools paradise nothing else.

I think you should understand that there are certain levels in relations in foreign policy.
The relation with Chinese, Pakistan is enjoying , India can never get despite 10 times trade volume
In case of Saudi's they can trade with you, may be friend with you, but never expect that Indian will ever be able to replace or surppass Pakistan as Pak Sauid Relations are above money and trade, We are defenders of Kaaba and we took parts with Arabs against Israel, More over, Saudi's helped Pakistan in the worst scenarios. Saudi's ensure free oil during sanctions so that we dont bankrupt. and the list goes on. so just dont compare the two countries because they are apple and Oranegs.

The demise of KSA has been planned. Do you want Pakistan to also go down protecting Saudi territorial integerity?

Just look at how the Hindu-stanis are crying in a thread that doesn't even contain their names !

1st of all you have zero or media related knowledge of Middle East.... 2nd India cant do anything for Saudia Arabia and Saudis would never prefer indians over Pakistanis ... Indians talk too much of itself regarding their trading and economy and whatever you wanna say but the fact is India is like balloon with air filled in it ... and i m 100% sure there are many ways of taking out the air out of balloon.... just few western countries giving indians backing & supporting to portray it equal or competitor of China and nuthing else but the fact is Indian's true obsession is Pakistan their soo called theory of Akhand Bharat ........

"Pakistan's trade with Saudi Arabia is a paltry $5 billion or so with a huge trade deficit in favor of SA. Pakistan therefore cannot be considered to do much to bail out SA,"

dont worry about us & Saudi Arabia ...just bailout your 600 million poor Indians who are living below the poverty line .....

Which part of what he said is wrong. You purchase $5 billion/yr from them and they buy peanuts from you. please feel free to tell me how is that any way to treat a so called friend.

Instead of calling him stupid, and pointing out poverty in India,do you understand that trade will eliminate poverty over time. While pakistan trade deficit in Saudis and other GCC nations favor will keep us right were we are. So i ask you again what loyalty ?

You think indians can't provide mercenaries to Saudis ?

You think Indians cant provide 10,000 military personals to GCC or Saudi's ?

What have you gained and what have you lost with this loyalty?

Do you understand a billion dollars worth of investment creates 4500 high paying jobs plus 1000s of spin off jobs which pakistan can use and indians have.

30 billion dollars or 300 billion dollars...... they will never have very close relationship with you at all ....they will never call you to defend their territory ...never ever... forget that kind of relationship with saudis.

That is because India will never provide them with troops to defend their territory. You make it sound as though Pakistan can defend Saudi Arabia.

Saudi India relations are not a problem for us. But considering that Saudi will ever support India against Pakistan in any case is living in fools paradise nothing else.

The Saudi monarchy will never support Pakistan in a war with India. They never have. With a rising trajectory of India they never will. India is not expecting Saudi support in any confrontation versus Pakistan.

You enjoy a good relationship with China because of mutual concern over India
