Sartaj Aziz on Shimla Agreement - No longer relevant - to solve Kashmir "bilaterally"

. .
Kahsmir is already a lost cause . Better if Indo pak leave that region under u.n control and help each other out in trade and socio-economics.

Pakistan and India will be at war before the decade is in the history books.

Dumb desis are hell bent on making each other a radioactive omelette for a thing which never had been there own to begin with . Keep on paying billions to stroke their arrogance .

Yes, we can get obliterated but so would you. We accept our deaths do you accept a nuclear holocaust? It would be end of life of face of the earth.
This can't be the blackmail Sir lol. "Give us Kashmir otherwise there be will be Nuclear winter all over the globe". Try using this threat to get your loans waived off first. That's a much smaller matter compared to Kashmir.

Because if not Modi than next joker Yogi wll come for that.
You had 70 years to negotiate with very reasonable and pliant governments in India. Those were squandered away by repeated misadventures of your establishment.

Modi and Yogi have taken the narrative into the offensive and turned it around to - “when are you handing over your portion”?
Obviously, they also know the limitations of rhetoric. They also know, what sells to get votes. They are smart politicians and aren’t dumb to launch a war.
We need to do both simultaneously.
In an ideal world yes. But, in reality, your nation is going down everyday, on all fronts, that require good governance. Probably, IK was your only hope and he is rotting in a jail with no end in sight.

TBH, the last most realistic point to resolve Kashmir was the Lahore declaration of 1999.
100% correct. No Indian politician will ever put his position at stake, like Vajpayee and try to resolve this issue, knowing that the Establishment will never allow peace with India.

How will they justify being a security state, if there is peace with India?

Coming to this thread. Who is Sartaj Aziz to declare a treaty irrelevant? Shimla agreement has everything to resolve issues bilaterally. But the distrust between the nations is so high that it might not work. From Paksiatn’s side it is the establishment which would never allow any government to strike a deal that could bring lasting peace.

Moreover, if Shimla agreement of 1972 is irrelevant than how can UN resolutions of 40s and 50s be relevant?

In any case, Kashmir issue can be considered done and dusted by everyone. The writing is on the wall and only blind would miss it.

Yes, we are facing hard times. Trust me still Kashmir is not going anywhere. And if it goes than we all go down INSHALLAH.
