New Delhi: Riding high after the ICC Champions Trophy victory in 2017, Pakistan Cricket Team travelling outside is on an unforgettable tour of New Zealand. After being whitewashed 5-0 in the ODIs, the Pakistan team came in with the hopes of recording a win in the T20Is. Contrary to their plans, they lost the first T20I by 7 wickets but in all honesty, were saved off some major embarrassment. The Kiwis had reduced them to 38 for 6 and it appeared that it could be over soon for a paltry score but some fighting hands from Babar Azam and Hasan Ali took them past the 100-run mark. Besides the loss, the major highlight of the game was the wicket of Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, which happened in a bizarre fashion. On the first delivery of the 10th over from Mitchell Santner, Sarfaraz went for a sweep. The hilarious moment was created as he slipped, leaving him in split literally and got out stumped. Sarfraz Ahmed departed only after scoring nine runs leaving his side in deep troubles.

The split and getting out, unfortunately, might have hurt Sarfaraz momentarily on the pitch but Twitter went ahead with full memes and joke mode about the event. Twitterati remembered an incident from November of 2017, where MS Dhoni was in a similar situation against New Zealand. But instead of falling down, former Indian skipper was lucky to be in the crease with almost a full split. (ALSO READ: Has Jos Buttler gone ahead of MS Dhoni after hitting fifth ODI ton?)

Colin Munro ensured New Zealand continued its stellar home summer as they thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets with 25 balls to spare in Wellington. Munro was left unbeaten on 49 when a wide by Hasan Ali in the 16th over allowed New Zealand to pass their 105-run target. It kept New Zealand undefeated after 13 matches across all three formats in the past two months including five one-dayers against Pakistan and a series of Tests, ODIs and Twenty20s against the West Indies.
