Saraikistan Province [The Naya Punjab]

Instead of doing traditional nonsense politics, PTI should act unique and do something which is actually benificial for the country.
You do have somewhat of a point. I hope for a Billion Tree Tsunami in Karachi to thank the awaam there for trusting PTI. There should be a huge 5 kilometer long Central Park-esque forest in the middle of Karachi. I wonder if you have visited New York City before, because the Park there is just so beautiful. We need something like that in our mega-city.

Karachi's Manhattan is Saddar Town. Have seen both Karachi and NewYork, so I'm in a capacity to say that unfortunately having such a park is very hard in the center of Karachi. Yes he should continue his 'Million Tree Tsunami' maybe around mangroves of Karachi or some similar sort of place.

They should tear down all of Orangi Town and Kachhi Abaadi and make the whole area Central Park down there. The area is not historical at all to Karachi, but it’s in center of Karachi. Everything there is a strain on the city.

The illegal settlement inhabitants of there should be relocated to dozen high rise buildings elsewhere tailored to Karachi cultural theme.

Much like this, but more beautiful..

So you’re FINE with a plain name like “Riyasat”. WTF. Saraikistan is obviously better. You need something to define/characterize an area or place and NOT just use a dictionary word.
You need burnol every few hours. Be patient. After4-5 applications the burning should mellow down.

I would much prefer IK dissolve all provinces and introduce more powers to the districts this would also resolve the problem of cities such as Karachi having less authority in running their affairs.
Plus the ethnic divisions that have been created by provinces will also be no more.

in my humble opnion, this province should be made. i dont agree with the title of this discussion... the name should be south punjab...

Why doesn't anyone talk about the elephant in the room. First of all the supporters of small provinces are smaller ethnic groups within the province i.e. Saraikies in Punjab , Urdu Speaking in Sind, Hindko speakers in Kp etc etc.
Finally, understand that size of a province is an irrelevant argument. California is half the size of Pakistan, Uttar Pardesh has same population as Pakistan, Kabul is as big as Peshawar with same population... so whatever the structure the central administration has to be strong.. Also i dont see anything wrong with provinces on ethnic/linguistic basis, however, Saraiki province should only comprise of Saraiki districts (Tank District, Sub Division DI khan etc are Pashto, Okara etc are punjabi) similarly Hazara province should only include hindko districts etc (Battagram, Torghar, Kohistan are not Hindko). Also people at district level should be allowed to decide which province they want to be part of.

Those a wrong linguistic map, Battagram (90% Pashto), Kohistan (70% Kohistani remaining Pashto), and Torghar (95% Pashto) are not Hindkowans,,, Similarly Tank (85% pashto), Di Khan Sub Division (99% pashto) and Tank Sub Division (99% Pashto) are not Saraiki, In fact the New DI Khan Division is mostly Pashto speaking having only DI Khan Tehsil being Saraiki, Kulachi, Darban, and Paniala are all pashto speaking tehsiles of DI Khan districts. Also Sargodha, Okara etc are Punjabi speaking not Saraiki.

Imran Khan is all set to be Pakistan’s new Prime Minister. Now it’s the time to talk about what’s going to happen in the future for Pakistan. One point of Imran Khan’s political manifesto was that he promised to create a new province in Punjab. South Punjab’s “Saraikistan” is unanimously the best route for that promise. After many years of dreaming of this, folks, this is humara Naya Punjab! PTI is very likely to keep this promise and it will be definitely put into action in a couple of years.

Procedure for creating a province:
Simple majority is required in the province which needs to be bifurcated. No possible in case of Sindh. Extremely difficult for Punjab. However easy for KPK. Since ruling parties do not have enough seats.
Than it requires change in the constitution, which requires 2/3 majority both in National Assembly and Senate.
Keeping in view the above, i do not see change in boundaries of Punjab or any other province any time soon.

PTI will also not go for two provinces in Punjab. That way Central Punjab will again be PMLN based province with Sharifs in power and PTI will have to show their good governance in South Punjab with good majority of PMLN in opposition.

Pakistan needs to be divided into about 10 provinces with about 20 million people in each provide and equal number if NA seats. That way there will be no "Punjab" that dictates to rest of the country

You have over simplified things.. everything has to make sense. why would a Punjabi want to be a part of Saraiki province??? You cannt just come up with a number and make provinces based on that... look at international examples.. Dont look at British, there distribution created more problems... the distribution that they had created based on straights lines i.e. longitudes/latitude.. Durand line, Kashmir etc etc are still a mess.
