Saraikistan Province [The Naya Punjab]

If 90% of people of the new province are ethnically Saraiki, why not call it that. South Punjab is really all that Punjabi. It sits right above Sindh and has strong cultural ties to it too. Mohammed bin Qasim enter Pakistan at Debal (Karachi) and stopped at Multan. He never went to Lahore or Rawalpindi.

Nobody wants provinces based on ethno-linguistic ties in Pakistsan. Plus, it was called Riyasat, not saraikistan in older times.

باقی صوبے یسو پنجو ہار کبوتر ڈولی کے ناموں پر رکھے تھے ؟ باقی سارے یونٹ بھی زبان اور قومیت پر بنیاد رکھتے ہیں ۔ لیکن نام کوئی بھی ہو صوبے بننے چاہیے اب ۔

It would be two administrative region , not on basis of Ethnicity, called north and South Punjab.

Not possible as it requires 2/3rd majority in provincial assembly pmln will stall it for no reason at all
