SANG exercise Wala'a wa Feda'a 2 (Loyalty and Sacrifice 2)

Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG) known in the military circles by the name of "White Army" has completed a 2 weeks long exercise in which 2 Battalions and for the first time the newly established SANG air arm took part of. I will leave you with pictures from the exercise:

There are rumors that the purchased Mi-17 and Mi-35 choppers took part on this exercise but I have to wait for clarification.

depends on the mission. I went to school with someone who is currently in the special forces he says we have been taught to disassemble and reassemble close to 90 types of assault rifles. Before each mission our "Gun team" as he called it will review the mission and the choose the best combination of rifles to be given to the soldiers for maximum effect.

depends on the mission. I went to school with someone who is currently in the special forces he says we have been taught to disassemble and reassemble close to 90 types of assault rifles. Before each mission our "Gun team" as he called it will review the mission and the choose the best combination of rifles to be given to the soldiers for maximum effect.

so theese are special forces? i know that special forces usually gets training in dissasemble and reassemble in a variety of weapons.

i thought they where ordinary soldiers who was able to choose different weapons for their own purpose.

No they are not special forces they are not equipped to be such nor have the markings but I guess they trained them on the F2000 anyways.

SANG is moving from being a part of the "national army" role where it's main job is to protect key infrastructure and such to a fighting a defensive force parallel to the army. It is said that the Russian hellis and tanks and the air defense will go to the SANG. Also the SANG will soon be operating fighter aircrafts rumor has it since most of it's equipment is going to be Russian so it will be it's fighter jets.

Yeah the SANG will get a complete air arm some SANG would be pilot are already training on fighter jets in Saudi military academies plus what the head of the SANG said earlier this year about discussions underway to order fighter jets for the SANG nothing is concrete yet but it is highly likely that the SANG will get its own complete air arm.
