As I don't know anything about maemo so i won't argue on its capabilities but user interface seems pretty much out dated. And as known to everyone, Nokia's resistive touch screens are no match to samsung, HTC or Iphone capacitive touch screens. Even N-8 and N-9 touch has some lag in it. I have high expectation with Sea Ray though.

well its been a while when N900 was launched. as of now the maemo 5 has been outdated and currently they are working on meego 1.3. i guess no other phone allows you to overclock your hardware or to interact with kernel using scripts directly or have a command line, not to forget to install multiple operating system over phone. neither i have seen a phone where u can install desktop applications directly over phone.

As of now meego was launched with N9 but the phone aint good enough i guess but the OS is great. I am using n900 as of now. the only prob is that now the hardware config has gone old for the phone but with a better hardware config the phone can do wonders. i mean i have not seen ever a phone like that. i had installed android and even tried installing ubuntu linux over phone. at the same time there is lxde environment customized for phone where u can install normal linux apps.

can u imagine i control my desktop back home using vnc and i run the same server over phone to control it using my desktop if its in another room. i even installed a small server over phone sometime back.

Love my galaxy.had the option to go for iphone as well, I'm glad that I didn't.

Galaxy S2 wins hands down. Iphone 4 is just a fancy overpriced product that sells due to good marketing.
Given a choice, I'd wait till december for Google's 3rd phone, which is rumored to be multiple times faster than S2.

At present only android and Apple OS are looking loke surviving. Android has the lead due to wider application and users.
I have Iphone 4,(before had 3GS), i love it and dont think am going to change to S2. I am waiting for Iphone 5.
Many friends have bought S2, it is lovely and beats iphone in most of areas.
But
i think it is too big to use as phone.
Looks not as good as iphone.
build quality does not look good, u dont want color wearing of due to use after few months after paying such price, too much plastic.
screen display is excellent but resolution does not match iphone.

Rest of it is super.

problem with iphone is it needs time to master.
But it has class and status. Missing with samsung which u associate with TV, fridge AC etc.

My humble opinion, may be biased or maybe grapes are sour

Android over IOS. Not sure about the Galaxy though. It's a bit too bulky for my liking.

iOS is the obvious winner because it was made by Apple only for the iPhone 4 and was built for the hardware, even tho S2 has the faster processor, Android OS is the drawback

i think you should have asked, Should i go for ios or android?

I neither have android nor ios. But i just gifted an android device to my sister. I played with that device for few days and i must say i m really lovinit. I mean you can just customize it like hell and hell lot of free apps. You just name it they have it.

The bad thing about iphone is most of the apps are paid, that is just opposite in case of Android.

but for some ppl iphone is like loyalty. They will never ever look at some other device.

Guys who don't know anything stop talking the $hit. First don't compare Iphone 4 to Samsung Galaxy S2 for god sake go read before writing something, Iphone 4 inferior than Samsung Galaxy S2 reason Samsung Galaxy S2 is not a competitor of Iphone 4 it was Samsung Galaxy S1 which you can compare with Iphone 4. Regrading meego Nokia is probably going to shut down there is no doubt meego power full OS powered by Linux but Nokia looking forward for Microsoft.
