Indian education seems to be a numbers game. There are massive number of students who are given substandard education. Most of them fail to develop any useful skills due to education. Very few exceptions develop abilities by going to costly for-profit schools paid for by their family then look for even fewer post-secondary opportunities. They are faced with same scenario again. And those who come out of this mess with skills are actually survival experts in an academics sense. Its a weird hunger-games of epic proportion. These few survivors actually run the country or go outside and earn money. Folks who achieve things in India seems to do it inspite of its education and not because of its education policy. Quite a brutal way to train people.

Oh, and Pakistan seems to have a negative education system. It makes people dumber by teaching them fantastic things. Things like evolution is a lie. All truths are in holy books. Djinn are real. Focus on religion kills education absolutely. The quality of posters here is an indication of the same.

dance is both part of their culture and religion , as their ways of worship include dancing .. so for them its not bad its normal .

doesn't matter now does it. a 1300 years ago, sacrificing lower caste virgins was also a part of their culture and religion as was burying new born girls in pre-Islamic arabia. We all know what Muslim armies did to that practice. this kind of sultry dancing is sheer objectification and butchery of the female gender and needs to be treated the same way WE treated the practice of burying of new born girls and sacrifices of lower caste female virgins, i.e. ruthlessly eliminate this practice.

why ? its part of their religion why you want to eliminate their practice ? what if they object to some Islamic Practice ? would you be ok with it ? If a women wants to dance in front of her students and parents/Officials have no objection than why you have a problem ? as per what the Professor said was wrong and should be investigated .
