What's new

Sad shameful situation - student from India stalking white woman, why is this a pattern.

So you think Muslims didn't see other religious groups as foreigners?
What's your point here? All you're proving is that the a British didn't create a new identity for us and that Pakistan is the product of an organic division between Muslims and non-Muslims.

Also, every single Muslim separatist leader from Pakistan was an Indian nationalist at one point in time. Sir Syed, Jinnah, Iqbal, GM Syed, etc you name them. They ended up drifting towards demanding rights for their own community AFTER encounters with Hindus and Sikhs. What does that tell you about which group saw the other as foreigners?

My point is Muslims weren't then, not today pure angels. They too had/ have blood on their hands.

The tendency of being violent isn't religion specific just like everything else, my main point in this whole discussion. But Pakistanis and Indians here are too good to admit that.

Trying to make you see reason doesn't put a dent in my self-respect.

And? You went from telling me that the British "gave us our identity" to trying to make an equation between the two sides. I don't really care if Muslims weren't pure angels. I wouldn't care if they were demons either, that's besides the point.

And where are you having difficulty understanding this? Didn't the British draw a line dividing the sub-continent?

Trying to understand your logic here...

You believe that Pakistan was not the product of a conscious Muslim national identity formation (despite the fact that it is the product of a Muslim vote) because the British facilitated the election?

On the evening of September 7, 2021, Officer Sutton responded to a call in reference to suspicious activity. Upon arrival, he met the caller who stated she was being followed by a friend ("Ramesh"). She explained that the suspect had a history of contacting her despite her requests to stop.

Earlier that day, she told Officer Sutton that the suspect had called her and admitted to following her all day using a GPS tracker he had placed on her vehicle. He had said he felt bad about it and wished to remove the tracker. He had asked her to meet him at a gas station. At that point, she had called 911.

While Officer Sutton searched the vehicle for the tracker, Officer Nguyen located the suspect at the gas station and placed him under arrest once the GPS tracker had been located. The suspect was charged with Unlawful Surveillance (Felony) and Stalking (misdemeanor). He spent a week in jail before being released on a $11,000 surety bond.

So if you have Felony on your record, bye bye Green Card and of course US citizenship - as far as I know.

I don't know how stupid some people can get.
It is pretty common even in high schools. I told one of my student who is being stalked to report to principal.

In India they think its a man's right to stalk, harass and torment women.
That's why this guy was so honest with police, as if it was all ok, and police will just let him go.

Well, there are separatist movements almost everywhere.

Even in the US, some people feel Texas should become a separate country but that doesn't mean it will.

British facilitated elections, thus creating Pakistan. Do you think Muslims could have done it themselves? What qualms do you have with that concept?

Yes? The only reason the British facilitated elections was because Jinnah threatened civil war.

No, they (the British) didn't give a flying fck, they were not worried sick about a potential civil war in the region. They wanted to get the f out of this mess they helped create in the first place.

From ruling over most of the world to now remaining in a secluded corner...This doesnt belittle Jinnah and Muslim's efforts but they themself couldnt have done it without the British's blessing and control.

The same control we are seeing today with our army, where no major political movement occurs without their blessing...

Yes they were. Read Ayesha Jalal's "the Sole Spokesman". The British wanted to ensure that the subcontinent was united after leaving because they wanted to prevent the USSR from taking over. The only thing that stopped them was the Muslim League.

An ulterior motive is not the same as being committed to giving people their rights...

Had they actually done the job proper, they would have drawn Kashmir lines before going so unrest will continue post-departure.
