SAARC should be dissolved

Another totally useless organization is SAARC, in my opinion they should dissolve this totally waste of space talking shop, there is no such thing as South Asia, it is a made up region, which has little in common with each other, except membership of the British Empire.

The countries in the so-called South Asia, can have bilateral relations with one another, to quote Oliver Cromwell to the rump parliament.

“you have been sat to long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, i say, and let us have done with you. In the name of god, go!.”

The dissolution of the SAARC forum, and full membership of SCO must be a priority on a war footing.

Boss at least coz these forums, Indian & Pakistani leaders meet each other once in a while and shake hands.

Let there some forums from where some peace talks happen..after all there is no harm having such forums.

i would prefer more integration as the region has huge potential for mutual benefit...
regarding SCO we have a strong case but real politik comes up there..(iran n indian bids are to be considered by SCO members as well)..

All member nations in SAARC faces same issues. SAARC is good platform for leaders to meet and discuss those issues.
We as south Asian countries combined have maximum population on earth and maximum issues. We can learn from each others experiences. Once our leadership will mature enough, SAARC will also become serious entity on world level.
Hopefully one day SAARC will represent entire region as one entity and will work in interest of all member nations.

Exactly buddy, there is no commonality, the basis of which co-operation starts, plus because of rivalry it just sort of limps on year after year, with no vision and no tangible result.

The countries are far too different and what is it's purpose - trade?? security?? What?? Nothing IMHO.....

SAARC can never be like EU.. Eu needed structure like that to survive because asian countries were rapidly developing . They needed something like that to survive . We are better when we face everything alone.

The main purpose of these organizations should be to improve trade across its member nations keeping aside the political differences. Despite the differences, the unique commonality is that all the members are developing nations with millions in poverty and free cross trade would provide enormous economic opportunities for all.

Political ambitions should be separated from economic growth across the region.
