It takes a lot more than a thick skin, strong will and courage to sustain a war.

They simply cannot sustain a prolonged war with the South. You'd want funds, Forex reserves, and the necessary infrastructure and logistical support to sustain it.

Seeing from the North Korean economy, I doubt if they'd be able to sustain their massive military properly.

Every little thing counts as proven in the Arab-Israeli wars.

And if they dare use nukes, the North would be the losers.

An Asian alliance will rise and this time China will not side with North Korea. The North Korean military will be destroyed, leaving the North Korean civilian leadership defenseless. They will flee towards China and this will be the only assistance China will give. In the end, Korea will be united under South Korean leadership.

You confused restraint with fear. Now you confused fear with cowardice. Do I fear a home intrusion? You bet I do. And am willing to bet YOU would too. But does that mean you or I are afraid of confronting the intruder to protect our property and family? I have been to South Korea, have you been to North Korea? The South Koreans do have a fear of having another war waged on their land. But the ROK Marines I know will have no problems teaching any North Korean trooper a few things about fighting prowess, superior training and tactics, and bravery. Too bad your North Korean troopers will be too starving to run or haul ammo for long.

SK has latest military technology in it's use, but those 30.000 US soldiers aren't there just for fun. US military most likely knows that SK could not beat NoKo militarily, and that's why those 30.000 soldiers are there... they are acting as land mines. NoKo leadership knows that they lose if they kill those US soldiers.
