Secondly, JF17 costs at least $30 million per plane and more expense as maintenance and spare parts. Most of the important parts like engine, radar, ejection seat, Avionics suite are imports and hence such massive quantity of imports cost a lot of money. Spare parts cost even more. So, where did this money come from? Secondly, Pakistan imports Al Khalid tanks which also needs significant money. From where does it get that? pakistan also imported several air defence system like HQ9 from China, imported ships like destroyers, frigates from China, EU etc. Who is funding these billions of dollars? China doesn't give soft loans without any meaningful return plans. This is also why CPEC stopped after Imran Khan became PM as he refused the terms of CPEC. The imports of goods and services of Pakistan runs into over $55 billion while exports of goods and services is just 25 billion ($21 billion goods + $4 billion services) while remittance is at $20 billion. So, where is the excess $10billion from?

Syria has a sizable population. Actually, more than 10% of Syrians are Christians. While the rebel part of population is mostly religious, most of Assad area population is not religious.
